Vim-Vixen is not disabled entirely after Shift-Esc, needing, instead, for the Vim-Vixen to be disabled by opening about:addons and disabling vim-vixen there.
One example. Open a page in the online latex site "overleaf.com". If I want to use the vim interpreter built into overleaf.com, first clicking 'shift-esc' to disable Vim-vixen is not enough. Some keys, like Ctrl-[, are STILL modified, so overleaf.com does NOT work without vim-vixen disabled via about:addons.
If a plugin has a key stroke to toggle its on/off state, then, when the addon claims to be 'off', inactive, it should REALLY be 'off', inactive. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13895223, 7 years agoGreat options for configuration! I actually managed to get all key combinations to work with my private keyboard layout, which is a first

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12737432, 7 years agoA very nice add-on. I've been spoiled with many years of Vimperator, Pentadactyl, and Vimium (in Chrome.)
Vim Vixen is on par with those venerable add-ons for reliability & stability.
Users should be aware they can configure the "hint" keys are configurable! Maybe they were before, but the JSON structure omits the item when it's at default value. The config form provides a field for the setting regardless. In the JSON, the "hintchars" element resides in the "properties" block:
"properties": {
"hintchars": "asdfgqwertzxcvb12345hy6n",
"smoothscroll": false
}

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13769124, 7 years agoWow. This extension is awesome. I was previously using Scrollkey (Which does have the advantage of allowing smooth scrolling), but it only allowed me to scroll with Vim keys. The sheer number of different possible commands with this add-on and the clever tricks they added has convinced me to leave a review for an extension, which I have never done before.
