I'd suggest an easier way to disable this extension when someone actually wants AI, but it would only disturb the purpose of this extension, because it makes it harder for the lazy user to disable it (I say for myself):
Configs > Extensions > Disable "DisableAI"
All that path gives you time to remember: "Why did I installed this extension on the first place?"
Thank you for helping me keep my intellect!!!!!
"btw for anyone wondering - if you use duckduckgo, it has a lot of options to disable/enable many sorts of ai to your liking" - Well said from another comment.

problemo is, you can't easily disable the extension without doin' it in firefox itself, and the reason why you'd want to do that is to simply get back to the 'all' tab on google. which shows things like the calculator or the stopwatch or games or whatever else is embedded into it. web tab has none of that, which fer me is a bit annoying, since i do actually need that. ofcourse you can just go to a website, but it's easier fer me to have it on google. anyways, it works, but sometimes i need it off y'know?Respuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace 10 díasLike you mentioned, there are other options than using the embedded tools on Google. You can also disallow the addon from running in Private windows if you still want the ability to use some of the other features, but AI will still run when you have the addon disabled and Google plans to add even more AI into search. We've become too accustomed to conveniences when we can take a few extra moments to still get the answers we want. - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 19922700, hace 13 días

Respuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace 17 díasA ublock filter only hides the AI overview on Google, but the AI that generates it is still running. Adding udm=14 on Google is the only way to actually not run the AI. And this extension does different things depending on the search engine. I have noticed that it doesn't disable YouTube's completely pointless AI summaries from its descriptions, so that would be an appreciated update!Respuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace 21 díasThank you for the suggestion. This add-on is primarily focused on search engines. - Se valoró con 5 de 5por pumpkinHead, hace un mesHello. It works well, but I have a request. Would you be able to update it to work with Startpage? Either way thank you for making this.
Respuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace 21 díasYou can reach out on github to let us know where there are AI features in Startpage that need to be removed. - Se valoró con 5 de 5por willow, hace un mes

Im still trying to figure out how to disable that button, but otherwise you're doing gods work.
Respuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace 25 díasThe addon has been updated to remove more of the AI-related features on Ecosia. If you still see something that should be removed please reach out over github. - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Zachary Dovel, hace 2 meses

Beyond that, AI greatly impacts the health of our collective home, and not in a good way. Every little bit helps, and this app provides a tool to do so, it's great, and it does what it says.
Plus, it works on Android! - Se valoró con 1 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 19745498, hace 4 meses
