por teej, hace 4 mesesI really, really, really wish I could rate it higher. Prior to November/October this would easily be a 4 or 5 star rating. Since then, however, there's been noticeable slowing in my system to the point that I can't use FF while this extension is enabled. I don't know if this add-on changed or if FF did, but I went from using this extension 24/7 to only using it when my eyes are really hurting and, even then, while needing to weigh out what speed I need pages to work at. The extension has crashed my browser multiple times and has been a disappointment since. I'll amend this if it's fixed, but for now I can't recommend this extension :(

Screen updates lag or become unresponsive for long durations on the Reddit site. Firefox then shows a notification bar right below the address bar saying Dark Reader is causing the slowdown. Please fix if you can.

IMO the addon needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 18815035, hace 8 díasGreat full featured Dark Mode add-on that has been steadily improving over the years. It's not perfect, but it's very close and much better than other add-ons. The only thing better than this add-on is for the webpage itself to have a dedicated dark mode. But for the rest of the internet, this add-on is pretty solid.

The auto-detection isn't very good, geeksforgeeks for example has a built in dark mode and instead of the extension being able to detect that it just implements its own dark mode which obviously isn't going to be as good. I get it, the websites that do that are poorly designed in that regard but that's what this extension is supposed to be for, websites with poor colour scheme design. Not to mention I tend to have a lot of tabs open so opening firefox can really make the fans spin for the first few seconds, they could probably only get it to run on active tabs.
And there are a few dark websites that it doesn't detect as dark which obviously messes with the readability and I didn't realise until I noticed some text was practically invisible. - Se valoró con 1 de 5por Avery, hace 16 días🔴 ALL website's domain name's show up in Dark Reader as about: , which is protected by default, so I'd have to turn the master switch off & on when browsing different websites! 🔴
