por Usuario de Firefox 17993023, hace 3 añose2: my original complaint still stands since the default is forced for every client and there's nothing to stop everyone else from picking a worse thumbnail just because it picks whever you happen to be in the video when you edit it --- and it being a crowdsourced extension means that more often than not the thumbnails are an out of context or blurry mess. not to mention people editorializing the titles or overly sanatizing them.
e: thanks for the reply - guess i was blind due to the extension being tucked away in the 'more extensions' thing. still annoying that its default behaviour though, especially the thumbnail thing. surely picking a random motion blurred time is more detrimental than a potentially clickbaity thumbnail?
forcing titlecase is obnoxious, really wish there was a toggle for that as it kinda steamrolls the grammar/form of other languages just because they happen to use the latin script (!) or stylistic choices for the video title.
also by default it seems to choose your current position in the video as the new thumbnail even if you haven't explicitly picked it - a lot of times results in people removing an okay thumbnail and it getting replaced with motionblurred nonsense.
i know it sounds petty but if these are my only two bits of feedback then it must be good !

publicado el hace 13 díasCan you verify if you are on the latest version of the extension? (2.3.6) - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Chris Hayes, hace 22 díasGenuinely improves my YouTube experience.
Yesterday for some reason it stopped working and was making Firefox hang, so I disabled it. I forgot I did that and was wondering why YouTube suddenly felt a lot more click-bait-y than usual.
I love that thumbnails actually represent how the video looks, and that I no longer see video titles that tell me absolutely nothing about the video.
My $1 has been well worth it. - Se valoró con 4 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 17842467, hace un mesI don't understand installing it and subsequently leaving a negative review for the fact that it does what it says, or for the $1 dollar payment that you *don't have to pay.* That said, this is often broken and may not always be as useful as you'd think (people like to inject their opinions into the new titles for example; this is often fixed eventually but it's kinda irritating when bad titles stay up). You can just go through the settings to limit or remove title changes, though.
Edit: Re-read what I said, this is a pretty neutral review -- unchanged by your response.Respuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace un mesIf it's still not working for you, try making sure it's not asking for extra permissions. You can go to about:addons, and click the gear icon and click "Check for updates". If there is a popup in the top right asking for permissions to access dearrow.ajay.app (the DeArrow homepage), click "Update" - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Penny, hace un mesBig fan of this extension, occasionally youtube will make changes and break it, but it is always back working pretty quickly

publicado el hace 2 mesesHi, it's not meant to be predatory, and does not promise to be free. It is a paid extension that allows most people to use it for free if they choose - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 14902700, hace 2 mesesGreat extension, can't imagine my life without it now.
But just yesterday it stopped working. First the button to show original video title and thumbnail disappeared and now all titles and thumbnails are original clickbaity ones. Changing any settings in the extension or restarting it doesn't help sadly :(

Reinstalling the extension fixed the issueRespuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace 2 mesesHi, this was fixed in version 2.3.4 which has now been reviewed by Mozilla so you should be able to just update
Edit: they made another change, it's fixed in 2.3.4. If you don't want to wait for Mozilla to review it, you can install the beta by clicking "FirefoxSignedInstaller" on https://github.com/ajayyy/DeArrow/releases/tag/2.3.5 - Se valoró con 1 de 5por bnvnnchgcccc, hace 2 meseschanges titles that dont need to be changed at all, and it changes them to a longer much worse version of the same title. the original was already descriptive, useless app, terrible user titles

Most videos that use to have custom names and thumbnails no longer do, and only a few here and there still have them. The majority of videos also don't even allow you to submit new titles anymore, the textboxes to do so are absent.

publicado el hace 3 mesesHi, is this still happening to you? Could you send a screenshot to dev @ ajay.app - Se valoró con 1 de 5por Samg381, hace 4 mesesThe payment scheme is as deceptive and scummy as the clickbait this extension seeks to fix. I have never seen something as bizarre as this.

publicado el hace 3 mesesDeArrow is a paid extension, but I understand not everyone wants to or can pay, so you can use it for free by clicking "I don't want to pay" or sending me an email for a free key
Or even using a good ole keygen website lol https://ashleygraves.eu/dearrow/
