but would it be possible to add an option to remove the spaces that are displayed at the beginning and at the end of the generated passphrase?

I also decided to remove all options to make the extension's code easier to understand. So I'm afraid you won't be able to select the characters separating words. My other app might address your use case https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/simple-password-generator1
