This extension removes critical parameters from URLs used in SAML logins (like RelayState, SAMLRequest), which breaks authentication flows on government websites such as Spain’s SEPE / Cl@ve.
The lack of a domain whitelist makes it too aggressive for practical daily use. Great idea — but the execution is becoming detached from real-world needs.

Does not clear any URL's on YouTube. Was forced to use a userscript for that. Lame

Algo tan simple y básico como limpiar las URL de las búsquedas de Google no lo hace. Su página de ayuda dice que agregues las URL, en ese caso tienes que hacer todo tú, no hay un filtrado automático. Su página de ayuda dice que después de varias veces que limpia la URL ya queda lista, hay apps que lo hacen a la primera. Inservible este Add-on.

This extension breaks the functionality of Google Search's "AI Overview"
If there are any workarounds or any possible blacklist/whitelist feature, please let me know, as this caused a lot of frustration.
This is an excellent extension, but I have to leave it at a 1/5, for now.

A seriously broken release took weeks to roll back. Other reviews have mentioned various impacts of this. One that affected me, but no one else has mentioned, is that Google started requiring captchas for me from every search, due to "unusual activity from your computer network". That was very burdensome and time-consuming for me.

Sorry, I'm uninstalling as I don't want to take the risk of this happening again.

After days of flickering URLs driving me crazy, I finally spent an hour or so disabling and testing a simple ddg.co search for the flickering issue.

The flicking URL is caused by ClearURLs!

Too bad but it drives me nuts and no matter the positive features of the add-on, it has to go.

Thanks to the dev for the pre-flickering usefulness and best of luck debugging the problem.

It has been breaking practically all major websites for months, including Microsoft, YouTube, Instagram, and Google Search.

For example, on YouTube, when I search for "Test Video", the params in the URL should look like this: "results?search_query=Test+Video&sp=CAI%253D," but the addon removes the "&sp" param, destroying my filter, and the URL is like flickering because it removes and adds the + multiple times until the URL is so broken that the website freezes or is lagging when scrolling. When clicking on a video, the URL gets completely destroyed and gets a mix-up of the search and video URLs, or sometimes it just doesn't show the video URL and removes all params and just shows the base URL.

In this state, the addon is not usable.

Has started breaking many websites. Voice.google.com for example; other reviews mention a bunch more.

Currently breaks many different sites. Twitter Searches with spaces in the query, and google images for example.

No me permitía usar mi cuenta de google al entrar en paginas web.

Had to deactivate it because of some legit search forms not filling in real-time, and because of issues with the 'sign-in with a google account' feature of many websites

It somehow breaks google translate, causing it to change it's url like 10 times/second, taking all of the traffic and making it impossible to load any other page.

I think I can see what it's trying to do, though it breaks signing in with accounts like Google (oauth)

This breaks way too many websites.
Still breaks Google sheets as of this writing.

On desktop at least(didn't try it on mobile) I found a bug that doesn't let me open images on Google images most of the time, and when it does let me, it does't let me close them.

Doesn't actually clean anything.
Whether I click directly a link or use the "Copy Clean Link Location", it just goes to the tracker or gives the link with the tracker.

2024-12-12 Update: After years of existence, it still doesn't provide a simple way of adding exceptions, other than manipulating the rules file.
Today, I found that it somehow breaks functionality in Google Sheets. When the extension is enabled, basic keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl-F or Ctrl-H don't work.

This extension would be great… if it didn't break 𝘴𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘴. The worst being 3-D Secure payment redirections.
I end up leaving it disabled most of the time.

Maybe the first feature that this extension would have required is an easily manageable custom whitelist. I'll have to look into the contribution requirements one of those days…

It breaks google sheet functions, I noticed the filters in sheet not working any more and had to disable add-ons an re enable them one by one to track which one was breaking it
