Installed this as a replacement for Honey's price tracking, and now they want permission to collect my data as well. No thank you, I'll use the old version until it stops working.

It just asked for mandatory permission to track my activity, my personal info, and more.

While the extremely worrying "new" permissions may just be an artifact of Mozilla new categorizing for disclosure, the module still seems to go behind the user's back using his browser to execute unrelated requests for it.

Whether this is abnormal in relation to Mozilla or Amazon guidelines, and GDPR, and the requirements for the developers, I cannot properly evaluate, but I'm still concerned about.

I would encourage the developers and users to eg read Wladimir Palant's blog post titled "Data exfiltration in Keepa Price Tracker".

Was Keepa macht: Auf einer Amazon-Produktseite sendet es die ASIN dieses Produkts an keepa.com, um den Preisverlaufsgraphen zu laden. Diese Angabe wird weder protokolliert noch gespeichert. Es wird nichts gespeichert, es sei denn, Sie entscheiden sich dafür, ein Produkt zu verfolgen. It was a great extension until it suddenly said it needed access to my browsing activity, personally identifying information, and website content, which it clearly doesn't need.

Uninstalled due to privacy concerns and I suggest anyone reading this review does the same.

Greed got these guys like it did everyone else. There would be far more users if you made it affordable for everyone. But you decide to track more user information and cut way down the free version. No thanks. Look elsewhere, there are some really good competitors. And to think I have to now warn all the people I told to install it.
