Latest update completely ruined the UI, nothing is where you think it would be, I can't just fill my details on website with one click (not talking about login), either this option was removed or it is hidden so well I am unable to find it. Extremely disappointed. There was no need to do any of that.

mis en ligne : il y a 3 moisHi. Mare sure you are on version 2024.12.4 or above, then check under Bitwarden Settings > Autofill > "Click items to autofill on Vault view" and Bitwarden Settings > Appearance > "Show quick copy actions on Vault" if you want to restore previous functionality that you may prefer. - Noté 2 sur 5par Mtro, il y a 4 moisThis is still the most trustworthy password manager imo and until recently was more or less perfect. They did a major revamp that makes the plugin clunky and dysfunctional. If you start using it *now* it might not be much of a problem for you, but it's like someone broke into my house and rearranged all my tools.
- Noté 2 sur 5par 5hiftyy, il y a 4 moisWith the new 2024.12.3 update, my muscle memory has been the death of me. Many of the buttons have changed places, the options are different.
Example; when opening the add-on to complete a fill-in action, clicking the main rectangle no longer defaults to auto-fill. It now opens the menu to view the details. Then I have to go back out a menu level, then click on the TINY "(Fill)" blue pill button. The text is so slim and small that to a person with average eyesight, it looks like (F|||) It's a terrible look, and requires two extra interactions I didn't need before.
(Hindsight edit; I found the following steps to add the copy username/password buttons back
Settings > Appearance > Show quick copy actions on vault
I'll give you another star for fixing that at least)
The lack of consideration given to the effect this update has on the user's workflow is astounding. If you wanted to make it more "Apple" and keep the same functionality, that's fine. Making functional changes too, and adding extra steps?? That's too far. I'd suggest reverting back to the previous update's functional framework, and then you can keep the new look.
Edit: while I'm at it, Feature request: Have there be an options default-generation settings, and let me generate a new username or password or whatever can be generated with one click. Add a kebab menu beside the generate buttons for people who change requirements every time.Réponse du développeur

Un retour à la version précédente a été nécessaire afin de pouvoir continuer à l'utiliser. - Noté 2 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 13833153 de Firefox, il y a 4 moisIt was good until they forced the stupid "fill" button in the new interface changes. Please bring back the old way. Apparently some people can switch back but I've uninstalled and reinstalled the extension several times and still have no option to go back to the way it was.

You moved away from a clean functional look to a shaky and distracting UI. UX also is not a step forward even so I think I know what you wanted to achieve. For me the new design looks cheap and is no improvement.
- Noté 2 sur 5par Kevin, il y a 4 moisLove Bitwarden. HATE the UI update. It's too cluttered, too slow, and too big.
Before, clicking the icon would just show me the logins for the current site. Now it loads all 500+ items... I don't know what you guys were thinking when you designed this.Réponse du développeur

Form filling stopped working altogether. Please bring back form filling and remove clutter and too many options from UI
- Noté 2 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 18767257 de Firefox, il y a 4 moisDecent on desktop, basically broken on android. I wanted to try out a more secure way of storing my passwords, but Bitwarden is inconvenient to use.
- Noté 2 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 14065901 de Firefox, il y a 4 moisNew design is not good.
- Noté 2 sur 5par Malmby, il y a 4 moisLoved Bitwarden since August 2016 and have been a subscriber and evangelist, but the new UI is atrociously bad. Too much empty space, giant text, enormous icons, and completely changed all workflows. The "Compact Mode" is still horrifically large. Waiting to see if they can salvage anything over the next few months, but I will be canceling my subscription and switching to Proton Pass if the Bitwarden UI remains anything at all like this redesign, as it is frustratingly inefficient.
- Noté 2 sur 5par Stephen, il y a 4 moisThe new redesign makes this tool immensely frustrating to use. Swapping the fill and edit functions over makes no sense at all.
In response to the developer response below: how does adding the quick copy buttons back in fix the issue that I describe above?Réponse du développeur

Autofill is broken, and the function to easily "Autofill this website" function that auto-populates the URL input is no longer there. Reverting ASAP to the old version.
- Noté 2 sur 5par MB, il y a 4 moisIt was phenomenal until the latest "redesign" or whatever they call it. Now it's extremely frustrating and difficult to use. The secure notes are all but unusable now, better remember what you called them!
I really hate this new theme. - Noté 2 sur 5par budget princess, il y a 4 moisLoved it until the new UI replaced the "click to fill" functionality with a tiny postage stamp "fill" button. Reverted to the last version with a usable UI until they fix this bug.
- Noté 2 sur 5par FireFueled, il y a 4 moisLast update made UI worse. Now I have to click a small button to perform a function that was triggered by a big broad button.
Dumb decisions requested by dumb financiers, made by dumb designers, and approved by dumb managers.Réponse du développeur

Not because the extension is broken or new UI is ugly (it looks really nice), but because you've changed behavior of extension. Providing users with additional settings to go back to previous behavior (or promise to introduce such settings in future updates) is not the way how you should do it. Some users (like relatives and loved ones who were introduced to password managers by more tech-aware people) of extension got confused/lost by your changes - and it's difficult to explain over the phone what should they change to keep using Bitwarden "as usual". That's why new extension behavior should be opt-in for existing Bitwarden users.
- Noté 2 sur 5par Jon-Pierre Gentil, il y a 4 moisThe new UI is unfathomably bad.
It feels like the people who designed it do not actually use the product. I think a big assumption would be made that the drop-down menu isn't used much and that everyone uses the auto-fill widget embedded in the website itself. The problem is that rarely works, and I have it disabled. I don't want it. So they've changed the default behavior in the drop-down menu to "view" the item instead of "fill", and created this TINY MINISCULE "fill" button you have to click instead, with no option to revert to the previous behavior.
Fire your UX people; they're inept.
The rest of Bitwarden is a great product. But this UI change is a dumpsterfire. - Noté 2 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 15698278 de Firefox, il y a 4 moisExcellent app I've been using for years but the recent UI update made every button very bulky which makes it so less information is visible on the screen. The update also changed the main page in the app so the things that were accessible straight away are no longer there. Wish that change got reverted.
- Noté 2 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 17579105 de Firefox, il y a 4 moisit's always been great, but the latest UI refresh I consider a huge step backwards. there are now additional steps needed to fill password fields and copy passwords. broken workflow

Completely ridiculous redesign! There was no need at all
- Noté 2 sur 5par dguy73137, il y a 4 moisThe old version was better. Too many clicks to achieve what was already fine.
