It's more or less ok but they "microsofted" it: You are browsing a log in web page typing stuff in and the some stupid pop-up to autofill blocks one of the fields or buttons below so you need to dance around it if you haven't clicked on it already by mistake and have to start all over again.
Please people: what the hell is going on with the pop up dialogs infestation in web and software in 2025. I thought we all got over it during the late 90's and early 2000's.
I really can't believe all this s**t going on with interface development in 2025. - Noté 3 sur 5par Jonathan, il y a 18 joursOn Firefox mobile, it doesnt Show Entries of passwords etc.
- Noté 3 sur 5par tomyo, il y a un moisThe default click action on the passwords shown in the drop down list should be to fill the form, not to enter into the details of a login, this was a recent change that's annoying.
Also, I notice spikes in CPU usage from this extension, that are power hungry and impacts my battery life a lot in desktop. - Noté 3 sur 5par Burghy, il y a 3 moisWith the new update, everything is slower. Even if I just opened it, when I go back to the plugin, it has to reload again. The copy button, which was supposed to be quick, now requires me to choose what to copy. But most importantly, the support for Microsoft Hello when requesting a fingerprint at browser startup goes into the background, forcing me to move the mouse to the taskbar and finally place my finger on the reader.
- Noté 3 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 18881377 de Firefox, il y a 3 moisWas perfect until they recently updated it and redesigned the extension. Now it fails to save logins frequently unless I open a separate window. It is also a lot slower than it use to be.
- Noté 3 sur 5par VJ99, il y a 3 moisGotten slow and buggy ever since they redid the UI. I'll take the old, working version back.
- Noté 3 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 16851462 de Firefox, il y a 3 moisWas very good until the last update. Now the search input does not autofocus anymore when opening the plugin and copying a password takes one more click than before because copy password and copy username are now one button for some reason.

- Noté 3 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 18807293 de Firefox, il y a 4 moisEdit: Thanks to Bitwarden for the response which has resolved one of my issues, partially, because this is not the default and the settings state is not replicated everywhere I have to set this setting in every browser and every account (so work and personal, all browsers). My issue about the cursor not starting in the search box seems to have been fixed/added so that's great, now there's just the UX decision to combine the password/username into a dropdown as a complaint.
Original review below.
---
The recent update to the addon has introduced a huge UX degredation, instead of a single click to get the password to fill in a desktop application login prompt you now have to hit the smaller copy button and then accurately hit the copy password from the selection box options.
Also, the cursor doesn't automatically start in the search box after authentication anymore, this is really annoying as it forces me to every morning log in and then with the mouse select the search box so that I can get to my email password entry, so that I can then have to select the copy button where I then have to now select the copy password so that I can log into my email because my corporate email account times out authentication after 12 hours (and sometimes, for some reason, multiple times per day).
Also, you now have to hit the small fill button instead of the whole item to get the browser to fill in the details. This is a reverse of what you used to have to do as now clicking the item results in the screen to view the information in the item where you can edit from. I use this far less than I use filling the details so I find this also a big step backwards in UX and looking at the recent reviews it seems clear that they have introduced a lot of UX friction that users are not happy with.Réponse du développeur
mis en ligne : il y a 4 moisHi. Check under Bitwarden Settings > Autofill > "Click items to autofill on Vault view" and Bitwarden Settings > Appearance > "Show quick copy actions on Vault" if you want to restore previous functionality that you may prefer. - Noté 3 sur 5par Thiago, il y a 5 moisThe new UI is nice but i have problems using the autofill in the sidebar. I have to close and re-open the sidebar everytime i want to autofill in a different tab. I'll switch to an older version (2024.1.0) while they fix this issue.
- Noté 3 sur 5par Richard Almée, il y a 5 moisPretty good, but the last UI update has made it less so. More clicks to do what I need (copy a username / password, filling a form, i.e. the primary goal of the application). Too bad
- Noté 3 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 18045432 de Firefox, il y a 5 moisThe extension has problems with connecting on login attempts to the desktop app for confirmation of biometric verification. I regularly have to resort to manual password entering....
It's becoming worse with the latest updates...
Experience on Acer Spin3 2-in-1, 2020 model. - Noté 3 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 18766616 de Firefox, il y a 5 moisThe latest updates are big step back in usability and UI.
- Noté 3 sur 5par Dmitry, il y a 5 moisDear developers, please, stop replacing the Firefox autocompletion by yours - it annoys almost every time when I am filling in some form, and your extension intrudes in a very unpleasant manner: Firefox shows the autocompletion, I choose an item, press Enter, and the your sluggish autocompletion somehow appears and fills the form with the wrong information. I want to enter information by myself, without your interception.
- Noté 3 sur 5par Paul Shryock, il y a 5 moisThe new UI is really bad. This extension used to be great, but now it's not very usable.
- Noté 3 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 18758772 de Firefox, il y a 5 moisWas 5 stars before UI update in December of 2024. The new one makes accessing identity and credit card fills much harder. There were no issues with the old UI. Please revert back to it.
- Noté 3 sur 5par DS, il y a 5 moisNew version lost features I used. No longer has solarized theme and favorites are sorted by use and not able to change sort. Password management is still 5 stars but new version's user experience is losing 2 stars. This maybe not be an issue for all but found it to be an issue for me.
- Noté 3 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 18756518 de Firefox, il y a 5 mois5 stars until the new UI update. Please revert to clicking the entire item for auto-filling. Needing to press a tiny "fill" button is a poor user experience.
- Noté 3 sur 5par Alex, il y a 5 moisThe latest UI changes are a serious step backwards, and seem to be in the category of "Change for the sake of change". Logically, the number one thing a user does when opening the extension is auto-fill a login - so why is that function relegated to a tiny button and clicking anywhere else opens the saved information, without even a further button to autofill from that point? It's very counterproductive and frustrating.
- Noté 3 sur 5par JC, il y a 5 moisUsed to be 5-stars. They updated the UX/UI and to fill a password, you have to click a small "Fill" button. This makes using the extension more tedious and difficult than it needs to be.
Compare this to the old version where you could click anywhere on the item - a major downgrade for the sake of "updating the UI".Réponse du développeur
mis en ligne : il y a 5 moisHi. Mare sure you are on version 2024.12.4 or above, then check under Bitwarden Settings > Autofill > "Click items to autofill on Vault view" and Bitwarden Settings > Appearance > "Show quick copy actions on Vault" if you want to restore previous functionality that you may prefer. - Noté 3 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 18753713 de Firefox, il y a 5 moisThe new UI makes using this good program much more difficult to use. It even affects being able to login to some sites. Sometimes "progress" is actually a step far backwards. Please go back to the prior UI.
- Noté 3 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 13523419 de Firefox, il y a 5 moisGreat product plagued by another unneeded, useless, and counterproductive update. Why do dev teams do this? Are you just trying to justify your salaries? I actually like the new look, but what is the purpose of changing the behavior of user interactions? Before, if I clicked on an item I had searched in the extension, it would fill it on the onscreen form. Now, it opens the details. ??? Why is this expected or useful behavior ???
- Noté 3 sur 5par Tomek , il y a 5 moisWas great till last update. Look and feel is just uncomfortable now. Especially display all items in main tab. This is some kind of misunderstanding. I want ONLY the login and password for the current site there and not all of them! Please hide it. Did anyone complain about the previous design? no! and now everyone is complaining about the new design. Don't fix something that isn't broken! "fill" button? really?
- Noté 3 sur 5par vinifurt, il y a 5 moisI love this addon and the service provided but the new UI is pretty bad. Now it takes a couple more buttons just to do the same thing.
