DuckDuckGo Search & Tracker Protection par DuckDuckGo

- Noté 3 sur 5par John Harris, il y a 5 ansThere is a significant bug in the current version (2020.10.13) that prevents connecting to the internet through captive portal wifi connections while this extension s active, they bring up network errors. That might be part of the intended manner in which the extension functions, but it still results in making the browser unusable in many situations.
- Noté 3 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 12709887 de Firefox, il y a 5 ansIt is very nice for privacy and security, but I there are some pages that either break or won't load because of this addon. I would have given it a better review if all pages worked with this, but as it is now... no can do
- Noté 3 sur 5par CVilleGal, il y a 5 ansThis is a perfect example of why I have to continue using google. duckduckgo does a wonderful job protecting my privacy but it does not seem to understand most of my searches which I think are pretty simple.
example: how to mail + zucchini muffins + virginia to arizona
duckduckgo: only got tons and pages of recipes
google: first link was on mailing baked goods, tips, same with five of the first six links.
bing: identical to duckduckgo - literally only recipes
yahoo: identical to duckduckgo and bing (interesting)
yandex: identical to duckduckgo/bing/yahoo
startpage: like duckduckgo privacy but with google results. nice! - Noté 3 sur 5par Jayjay, il y a 5 ansThis is a good addon, only problem is that it changes your default browser right away, It would be nice if it could ask you about that first.
- Noté 3 sur 5par LagMonkey, il y a 5 ansThe add-on is not working to change my search engine. Please fix this soon.

- Noté 3 sur 5par Juuzo_K, il y a 5 ansI guess this might help, but it made some websites javascripts not work resulting in the website layouts completely messing up. Had to disable this addon for the time being.
- Noté 3 sur 5par Anon, il y a 5 ansPOSSIBLY SHADY
When one's IP is spoofed to a Chinese address, some search results or websites are completely omitted (e.g. thesaurus.com). This leads me to believe that DDG may be altering search results based on locale.
As a separate issue, DDG supposedly runs on Amazon servers, a US company which is shady on its own regarding tracking. - Noté 3 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 15498641 de Firefox, il y a 5 ansThe extension is definitely a great extension, I just don't see why I should have it since Firefox has its own tracking protection now.
- Noté 3 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 15402523 de Firefox, il y a 6 ansdommage que ce soit pas en français...
- Noté 3 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 15239800 de Firefox, il y a 6 ansGreat tool, but it broke the hubspot forms on any site utilizing them. Because of this I had to remove. Is there any way you guys can make it so it doesn't kill hubspot forms?
Sincerely,
Brad - Noté 3 sur 5par Tom Smith, il y a 6 ansIt is a great addon- except it couses Disqus to be disabled, i.e, it won't load on any webpage. Not a single one.
- Noté 3 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 12138260 de Firefox, il y a 7 ansI love it in the Desktop Browser. Even in the Android Firefox it works. Sadly because it tries to block all google trackers, all links opened out of a google app on Android are not working since they are first going over a google tracking link. Only way arround is to open the page in a different browser. Of course this is broken by google, but nontheless this extension makes firefox on Android almost unusable.
On Desktop it is sublime! - Noté 3 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 14526405 de Firefox, il y a 7 ans
- Noté 3 sur 5par mytwocents, il y a 7 ansI like IDing trackers but do not want to change my default search engine to DuckDuckGo. Too bad user not given the choice to use the one without the other.
- Noté 3 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 5683589 de Firefox, il y a 7 ansWhat happened to release notes for the 2018.10.4???? Can't find anywhere, not in versions nor at github. Staying at previous version until I know more. Don't like updating in the dark.
- Noté 3 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 13467831 de Firefox, il y a 7 ansIt has some great features, but it has one fatal flaw: the forced https is WAY to persistent. I'm a college student, and the personal website of one of my instructors (that doesn't take any kind of personal information) doesn't support https. This extension should have a way to detect that and disable the forced https for that website, after giving the user a clear warning. As it is now, I have to completely disable the extension every time I need to visit his website.

- Noté 3 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 14148349 de Firefox, il y a 7 ansUnfortunately I just found out that DDG is the reason why I cannot play games anymore on FlightRising. And I blamed them for it! Very embarrassing... Also I need to switch to Google too often when on a search, cus they have better results.
- Noté 3 sur 5par Trader_Ron, il y a 7 ansExtension doesn't allow user to pause its blocking of site content. Extension needs less control by provider and more options to users.
