par sssss wwwww, il y a 3 ansNifty plugin for making web page text more readable.
If anyone is interested in its Chrome version, here is link to the plugin's chrome port.

Chrome port works exactly as the Firefox plugin, except for toggle on/off button.

- Noté 1 sur 5par What???, il y a 10 joursFont Contrast only applies Bold text on most sites only, nothing else.
None of the contrast, color, brightness, or opacity features work. Websites especially those who use closed shadow‑DOM components, CSS variables for all text colors, and !important rules that the extension can’t override.
The result is consistent: bold works, everything else does nothing. This extension has many limitations at the root level and in how the extension handles shadow‑DOM and variable‑based color systems. A fix would require support for rewriting CSS variables and penetrating closed shadow roots
Instructions are written by an NPC written for an AI or bot. Extension doesn't play nice if you have other extensions like uBlock or VPNs and more. It needs a major update.
You need to know how to tweak your settings. Otherwise, the default settings don't do much. It needs a toggle to see changes with and without as you change the settings.
It's funny how there are many Chromium extensions that do this job well, but only this one claims to adjust the contrast fonts. Clearly Mozilla's marketshare is dropping fast and developers want no part of it.
If F. Fusco, the developers spends a bit more time providing instructions and updating his guide which is not current it could be a "game changer". But it looks like it's abandoned. - Noté 3 sur 5par sdevel, il y a un moisWorks for me, but kills my usercontent settings for link colors, even if setting "ignore colorful text" is enabled.
- Noté 5 sur 5par **a, il y a 2 moisThis works very well for my firefox installation. I wish it were available for other browsers. On those, I have to use "Better text view". It provides similar results, but is MUCH more difficult to use.
Thanks for the great extension! - Noté 4 sur 5par aqk, il y a 10 mois

- Noté 4 sur 5par Blargg, il y a un anNice readability increase for common sites that stupidly use gray text. Usually works and I forget it's running. The occasional site can't have its text darkened. Working fine with uBlock Origin and NoScript on Android.
I had to keep advanced mode off because it would darken the light background of text on common sites, and disables subpixel rendering. With advanced mode off it works great. - Noté 4 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 10745620 de Firefox, il y a un an

- Noté 3 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 18578989 de Firefox, il y a 2 ansI have this extension on both firefox and waterfox browsers. On firefox it has begun to block all images, but not on waterfox, both using identical Font Contrast settings.

Gripes: As others have noted, the icon is (ironically) invisible on dark themes. They should re-do it to make it visible. - Noté 5 sur 5par EerorErrie, il y a 3 ansIt's a bit complicated to set it functional, but it works, as a font-zoomer, that's it. Nice job for saving my eyes from those stupid micro-font webs, thanks.

- Noté 1 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 13404543 de Firefox, il y a 3 ansIf I select blacklist, it resets zoom level. So I adjust zoom level, and it deselects blacklist. Can't really change anything at all.

- Noté 5 sur 5par mmmel4real, il y a 3 ansWorks great if not using an extension to make websites darker. It doesn't really change the contrast of light text on dark backgrounds. (I played with all the options.) I don't think this is the fault of this extension though because the other extension takes over all styling. So no stars deducted.
I like the option to increase the text size too. It adds the missing toolbar icon that Firefox refuses to give us for toggling custom font size.
Text looks a lot better in pages with lighter backgrounds and black text. I also love all the great options for getting things just right, and I love that the changes can be customized for each website, or use blacklist mode. - Noté 5 sur 5par Stu, il y a 3 ans
