If it's stupid, but it works — it's not stupid!
And yes, I live in a forest, in a dugout, without water, electricity and the Internet, so I don’t know new technologies. - Noté 2 sur 5par Marc, il y a 6 ansSometimes when I click to 'Remove' a session, it deletes the *wrong* session. Also, my date format (yyyy-MM-dd) is not honored for Auto-saved entries. I wanted to report these issues but can't register to mozillaZine (the site is horrible btw, you shouldn't be using it nowadays). I found the source code on GitHub and wanted to contribute (with fixes), but the code is terribly outdated.

mis en ligne : il y a 6 ansThanks for the noticed bug. The bug is fixed in the new version 2.14.11. Email me about the problem with the date format. balyaev[a]gmail.com - Noté 2 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 14653297 de Firefox, il y a 6 ansMenu is totally broken for several weeks now. All menu items seem out of place and it's impossible to navigate properly.
This happens in several computers (all running Ubuntu 18.04) and even in fresh installations of Firefox.Réponse du développeur

- Noté 2 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 12812725 de Firefox, il y a 8 ansNot show automaticly the content of sessions when you select it.
It stores sessions in bookmark, so it makes my Bookmark to trash bin. It makes some thousand new bookmark in some days. Afterthat you can't find nothing in Bookmark. Bad idea! - Noté 2 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 13968514 de Firefox, il y a 8 ansinstable, close firefox 60, cannot add or open in new windows. some session saved. Autobackup is in the same windows of manual backup. Take like example session buddy under chrome.

- Noté 2 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 13803743 de Firefox, il y a 8 ansThe clue about micheal krafts session manager was it was also saving the size of different window tabs with it this addon even tho it gives an overall more options to choose from and does well enough to compete with the others of that kind doesnt give me whats needed. Thanks keep it going anyways
- Noté 2 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 13334461 de Firefox, il y a 8 ansIt creates auto bookmarks under "Other Bookmarks"<MySessions<AutoSave. Any site I visit is bookmarked by it and saved in folders. I found it doing this after months and till then I got a huge library of folders that I have to delete manually.

That Interferes with managing your bookmarks, because you never know if you actually bookmarked a page, or if it's buried somewhere in saved sessions. Session Manager, I miss you!
EDIT: In reply to the dev's comment: I recommend you listen what people say. I did read the description, I knew that it was going to save to favorites, but I still don't like it that it does that.Réponse du développeur

EDIT: Do not like it - do not use it. - Noté 2 sur 5par firefoxtrot, il y a 8 ansAlthough I like the idea of saving the session, doing this via bookmark is basically duplicating a bookmark. ie I had one site bookmarked 19 times. Surely, there has to be a better way than duplicating bookmarks.
Update: I had to uninstall the addon, it makes no sense duplicating bookmarks. Besides I want to save the session, not bookmark it. I understand that's it's intended purpose. But having multiple copies of each bookmark is more trouble than it's worth. A better way, if it were even possible would be to update the same bookmark, but creating and duplicating hundreds of bookmarks that you never wanted in the first place seems counter intuitive.Réponse du développeur
mis en ligne : il y a 8 ansIn the description of the extension it is written that sessions are saved in bookmarks. - Noté 2 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 13663557 de Firefox, il y a 8 ansI'm looking for a replacement for 'session manager' in Firefox Quantum and I've downloaded this addon among others to test it. The main problem for me is the lack of search functionality. I have read the reviews and the developer's response to this problem is, basically, to laugh at the suggestion and say that nobody has asked for it. I have not bothered asking for it because I have discarded the addon. Each one uses the addons in a particular, sometimes unique way. I read with perplexity the response to a user about his suggestion of a search engine: the developer brags about having 300 tabs (or 1000) in a window and never having needed a search functionality. The interesting thing about working as a developer is that your code is thought for something and users end up using it for what they really need. The more users, the more different uses. I do not think it's a good idea to mock the suggestions of your users. Or brag about having 300 or 1000 tabs in a window.

- Noté 2 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 13611465 de Firefox, il y a 8 ansMySessions works properly on my FF 57 and I find it particularly useful that I could import old sessions.
But the fact that sessions are stored in the form of regular bookmarks inside the normal bookmaks file makes the addon conflict with normal usage of bookmarks and bookmark tools. I search or filter my bookmarks and the contents of this addon's folders are displayed as well.
Just now I encountered this with bookmarks-manager (https://add0n.com/bookmarks-manager.html) which displays whether the currently active tab has already been bookmarked. As soon as MySessions has made a backup seemingly it has - but not intentionally by the user.
Could this addon write it's data to a separate file?Réponse du développeur
mis en ligne : il y a 8 ansAccess to the file system is prohibited, because of this, recording of sessions into separate files is impossible. But you can export sessions manually. - Noté 2 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 13469601 de Firefox, il y a 8 ans
- Noté 2 sur 5par shrodder, il y a 8 ansso, so, works a bit, after some reopening saved sessions, the tabs are mangled more and more...
- Noté 2 sur 5par Shajirr, il y a 8 ansI'd rate the experience of using this addon as very bad.
First of all, I did not experience any losses of stored sessions, saving them, as well timed autosave, which is one of the most important features, do work.
However, the process of restoring a session is beyond horrible - every single tab is getting loaded into memory.
When trying to restore a session with this addon, Firefox ate around 12GB RAM, basically all available RAM I had (it would have probably ate all 32GB if I had them), and made PC completely unusable, it lagged to hell. I waited for around 20 minutes, but nothing improved, so I just gave up, and closed the browser (it crashed on close too).
After that I was able to use native browser session load, without problems, with all tabs not loaded into memory, like it should be.
I tried using "Load on Select" before, but it has problems with some of the sites - they do not load with this addon.
- Noté 2 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 13464389 de Firefox, il y a 8 ans---Sessions are stored in the "MySessions" folder in the bookmarks, which allows you to synchronize them with other computers. ?What is wrong if no MySessions are saved anywhere, there is no "MySessions" folder and no parent Bookmarks folder for it? Neither is it in install path or profile path.
- Noté 2 sur 5par DarkDullahan, il y a 8 ansIt works like it says, however since the update to version 2.0 all of my saved sessions and tabs are completely lost. I'm not going to personally continue to use something that will lose compatibility with each new version, it negates the entire purpose of the add-on.
Réponse du développeur
mis en ligne : il y a 8 ansI'm very sorry. It's my fault and mistake.
You can go back to version 1.0, open saved sessions in new windows, upgrade to version 2.0, and re-save them.
