mis en ligne : il y a 14 joursThe basic groups for organizing playlists are free, if you want extended features, you should become a patron. It takes time to update the extension every time YouTube changes internally.
Furthermore, the decision to keep some features for the Patreon version of PocketTube was made to ensure the long-term feasibility of the free version. - Noté 1 sur 5par DUN, il y a un moisPopup his ads on YT.
Edit: Not true ? Then what's the popup lead to the ads on Youtube of your other addon ? A joke ?
Stop lying.Réponse du développeur
mis en ligne : il y a un moisThat's not true, our extension is ad-free. Maybe you have other extensions causing that behavior. We don't add external ads or replace native YouTube ads.
Edit: If you were referring to our other add-on, it's not an external ads, it's part of our own ecosystem. PocketTube includes two extensions: one for managing subscriptions and another for playlists. If the other add-on isn’t relevant to you, you can simply close the popup, there’s no pressure.
The popup you saw is part of our onboarding flow. We also use it to inform users about new features. We focus on building features our users love and rely on every day.
If you’re not comfortable with our approach, you’re welcome to remove the extension. - Noté 1 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 18983384 de Firefox, il y a 2 mois

Réponse du développeur
mis en ligne : il y a 5 moisThe extension doesn't have any impact on videos. Try to disable other extensions, I suspect you have a conflict with other extensions. Patreon exclusive features are mentioned in the description, so what is the point? - Noté 1 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 18805677 de Firefox, il y a 6 mois
- Noté 1 sur 5par Mekkie, il y a 7 moisAll i want is to sort by upload date. This advertised it could, but there is no option to.
Réponse du développeur
mis en ligne : il y a 7 moisNo, we don't have such an option, we only have the option to sort playlists on the manger tab by last updated, but not videos by upload date. Where is it advertised? - Noté 1 sur 5par Jerome Jaglale, il y a 7 moisMoving several videos at once from one playlist to another is paywalled (prompt for Patreon subscription). Lame.
A trial period, or a limit on the number of selected videos would have been better. And make that clear on the add-on description. Otherwise it just upsets people.
I understand it takes some work to maintain that, but give something useful to people first. No one cares about groups.
EDIT to answer the developer: Such nonsense! If so many users care about groups, why don't you make that only a premium feature? I would have gladly paid for this if it had been made in a way that made more sense and not so overtly money grabbing. You just wasted my time.
EDIT 2: Sir, I do appreciate your work: it's a great idea, you made it work, and you keep maintaining it. Bravo. I'm a developer myself, so I know it takes time, skill, and dedication. My point, like most bad reviews you got, is that most features are paywalled. And that's not mentioned in the plugin description at all. It's very misleading, and it's done on purpose. We installed the add-on expecting all those features would be free. That was our EXPECTATION. Discovering we have to pay, we felt tricked.
Please just be clear in the add-on description about which features are free, and which are premium. That's all. No one is arguing with you that your work deserves to be paid. We are upset just because we felt tricked. That's not good business practice. I'm taking the time to write that so you can do better in the future. Best of luck to you. Don't hate me too much :)Réponse du développeur
mis en ligne : il y a 7 moisWe have a lot of users who care about groups, the basic groups for organizing playlists are free, if you want extended features you should become a patrons. We're showing Patreon screen on every of our videos. It takes time to update the extension every time YouTube changes internally.
Furthermore, the decision to keep some features for the Patreon version of PocketTube was made to ensure the long-term feasibility of the free version.
Edit: I understand you don't care about my hard work around the extension, we all like free stuff. But in a world where everything is free, we are the product.
Edit2: Ok, added it to a description - Noté 1 sur 5par CrubNine, il y a 8 moisPop-up ads, clicking on them results in receiving "reminder" emails to your email. Not a good practice.
Edit: A pop-up ad is still a pop-up ad. Also I didn't give permission to be solicited through my email. Nor give my email handle at any point. How your add-on manage to get a hold of it is a complete breech of trust.Réponse du développeur

UPD: I'm sorry if my Black Friday popup made you angry. I understand it can be unpleasant, but honestly, it helps our users to get more! Réponse du développeur
mis en ligne : il y a un anIt's important to note that the $3/month(or $30/year) fee isn't solely for the sort by video duration feature. Our PocketTube extension paid plan offers a comprehensive set of over 20 features across two extensions, all designed to enhance your browsing experience on YouTube. The nominal fee helps us cover the costs of maintaining and updating the extensions, especially considering the frequent changes and updates made by YouTube's platform.
We strive to provide value to our patrons by continually improving and expanding the features offered. For example, the sort by video duration feature was requested by our Patreon community and I implemented it specially for it. Réponse du développeur

There's no way I'm paying for something without being able to evaluate its functionality. (And besides, imagine charging a monthly subscription for a *browser extension*. Yuck.)
