    a great alternative for dark reader! less hit on performance and it actually works on more websites. Ebay was having issues with dark reader but this extension works no problem. Hopefully this projects keep being maintained :)

    I used DarkReader for ages but wasn't happy with it because it's so fiddly and its interface and settings are very confusing. UltimaDark however works way better out of the box, exclusions are easy to use and apply, I can export the settings easier. I just like UltimaDark way more. A must have extension for OLED display users.

    Wonderful addon - was previously using dark reader with firefox esr but began to experience slowdowns on many sites

    broken after 144 update of the firefox, tried reinstall, no worky
    upd: after the latest extension update it works again, but had to clear the settings in order for it to start working.

    🛠️ Update 1.6.25 — Firefox 144 Compatibility Fix

    This release addresses the major compatibility issue introduced by Firefox 144, which caused UltimaDark to stop working due to the removal of the legacy CSS2Properties interface.
    If you recently updated Firefox and noticed that UltimaDark no longer applied any styles, this update fixes that problem.

    🔧 What Happened

    Starting with Firefox 144, Mozilla removed support for CSS2Properties, a deprecated interface that was still being referenced in several parts of the code.

    The extension works great and the developer is a cool dude. But on some websites it's just not working well. For example IMDB.com is all garbled up on Firefox on Android, the preview videos fail to load and some images just won't open. Please be kind and fix it.

    Dark mode doesn't work after version 1.6.22! Fix pls!

    I've used a few different dark mode extensions over the years, but UltimaDark is FAST! Not only is it fast, but it handles websites with progressively loading content far better than even the fabled Dark Reader.

    I'm really glad to see this excellent extension getting an update! For me, one of the biggest hurdles in moving away from Chrome-based browsers has been finding a good dark mode solution. This extension has great potential to remove that hurdle, which is why it's the one I care about the most. The updated modern UI looks fantastic, and I hope more people will discover how great this extension is.

    Just discovered this extension and really surprised at how its even faster than chromium in rendering dark mode! However, I see there hasn't been any new updates this year. Really hope you don't abandon this awesome project!

    I’ve been back on UltimaDark development for a few days, and the new modern UI and feature improvements in the upcoming release are already significant.

    Great addon! Would be awesome if you could apply dark mode per window, so that I can keep the window on the main monitor with light theme, and apply dark mode for websites only on a secondary monitor.

    Oh goodness, finally, a dark mode extension that works well enough and does not destroy my device. Thank you. We can deal with the bugs, please keep developing <3 (and yes its seriously fast)

    Would love to be able to blacklist sites to not run this (Gmail behaves funky when this is enabled, I'm sure there are more sites that I'll run into the future)

    Other than that it works great.

    A major user interface overhaul is coming soon! In the meantime, the current UI already allows you to exclude sites from being darkened. If you don’t see the extension’s button pinned in your toolbar, it might still be hidden under the puzzle piece (🧩) menu, where newly installed extensions are grouped
