- Noté 1 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 17489229 de Firefox, il y a 23 joursThis add-on is not safe and breaks a privacy leaving cookies in browser permanently allowing VT4Browsers to runs in Private Windows. Be aware about this.
- Noté 1 sur 5par DnvnSmth, il y a un anPlease just make this available on Android, I'll change this to a 5 star immediately
- Noté 1 sur 5par Remi, il y a un anEdit: it happened. Send to VirusTotal prompt failed when I tried to scan an epub file. I donwloaded then sent to Virustotal from my PC and there was a detection. It better be a false positive. I can no longer trust VirusTotal to protect my computer
It was a life saver when it worked but now it simply cancels my download half the time and doesn't even try to scan the file
Some months ago it would turn out upon inspection that I pressed "download" in a private window but the link to the scan results only appeared if I opened a regular window. Inconvenient but technically still worked
Lately it doesn't show the scan prompt or the link in any window I open, in 50% of the cases. At least it can scan links
And yes, I can still scan the file after downloading it but I'd rather not risk my computer's health (Edit: lol should haave listened to myself. Never again) - Noté 1 sur 5par Suvi-Tuuli Allan, il y a 3 ans

mis en ligne : il y a 4 ansHello,
Thank you for your feedback!
Please send us more details about this to contact@virustotal.com and we will be happy to investigate this issue. - Noté 1 sur 5par Tom, il y a 4 ansRelatively useless:
Files are not uploaded already above a size of approx. 145 MB (File exceeds maximum size).
Furthermore, it would be nice if user-defined file extensions could be defined.
And the website behind it doesn't work if the options for "Improved protection against activity tracking" are exhausted in Firefox. - Noté 1 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 16410797 de Firefox, il y a 5 ansError "Failed to communicate with VirusTotal" now. This was a great 4 1/2 star extension while it worked, although I supplemented VT4Browsers with Winja.

- Noté 1 sur 5par ksnej, il y a 5 ansI am given an error "Failed to communicate with VirusTotal" every single time.
- Noté 1 sur 5par Maktesh, il y a 6 ansExcellent concept, but the core function of the add-on no longer works on current versions of Firefox Dev.
- Noté 1 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 15005805 de Firefox, il y a 6 ansEvery function doesn't work (exept the scan of downloaded files), the result is always an "Error 404" page.
(I refer to "Scan selected link" and "Scan current page" functions) - Noté 1 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 14561586 de Firefox, il y a 6 ans"Error sending file error" for ages now, this is just bad advertisment imo (running the latest FF Quantum 67+).

- Noté 1 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 14100744 de Firefox, il y a 7 ansSo far, all it has done is waste paper. With everything I print, an extra page prints with only "VTZilla 0% x" on it. There are no print setting in the extension. I can't find any mention of it on the internet and the Virustotal website contact page won't submit my issue. I did find that I could submit it in Chrome, which isn't good for a Firefox (56) extension. I'm waiting to hear from them but for now, it's costing me money so I have to disable it.
- Noté 1 sur 5par claustromaniac, il y a 7 ansInitial review (v2.0.1):
This is a very handy extension, especially for users that prefer (and can afford to) take proactive security measures where possible.
To the developer(s): Consider changing the default settings in this new version so that they are more in line with what is stated in the privacy policy. Querying VirusTotal on every download should be opt-in, not opt-out.
Update (v2.1.1):
I see that you folks decided to change the privacy policy instead, so I guess my review was productive in a way. I can still recommend VirusTotal as a service for scanning files found in the net (because it can be very useful sometimes), but I will no longer recommend this extension.
