It could be so useful if only the metadata (url etc.) and the highlighted text were saved to obsidian. Instead, always the complete page is saved, including even videos. No need for this.

It's easy to change the template to only save the content you want. Take a look at the documentation:

I'm using Obsidian Web Clipper on Linux Mint. When I save, it always opens a new instance of Obsidian. This is frustrating because the plugin never detects that an existing instance of Obsidian is already open.
