Blocks ads, but opens a new tab with a full page ad for itself every update. If it stopped doing that, I'd rate 5/5

I've used this add-on for years but the random tabs opening to ask me to pay for premium kills it for me. I'm totally OK with the ask every now and then, but every update to have a new tab open without choice when i have so many tabs open only to lose where i was is so infuriating. I just cant take it. I wish there was an actual reply about it and not a copy and paste reply saying thanks for the feedback. I'd love to know reasons why they think users who are trying to block ads would be ok with a whole tab opening without the user having control over it. Thanks for the years but it's time to fine a new add-on.

Until yesterday, the extension did its job perfectly - it blocked pop-up ads, let ads through in videos, and allowed you to block selected elements. Today, however, it only showed a link to a purchase offer (purchase of an application that does not allow access to some sites, and without any guarantees of functionality). The plugin works fine overall except it randomly opens a new tab every time it updates, begging for donations. I get it, stuff costs money to make. This is a really annoying way to ask for donations though and cheapens the experience. Other ad block plugins dont do this.

Works fine mostly, but the autodisable on Youtube is insanly annoying. If I want to allow Youtube to play ads I can disable ABP myself. At least make so that this feature can be disabled from settings if you absolutely must keep it.

It worked good for years, now it just deactivates itself on youtube.

Used to be able to block ads on YouTube, but this no longer works. Now they're working with Google to disable the extension and force ads on users.

Just stopped working for me. In fact, YouTube's website is automatically turning off Adblock Plus. It was good while it lasted

It used to work for youtube, but now its giving me all kinds of problems and between it fighting with youtube, has made my computer lag and use all its resources, so I keep having to close out my browser and finally disable this extension. I'm so upset because it was working perfectly for years. :(

It stopped blocking youtube ads completely

Worked great for a long time but stopped working on youtube over time by first having ads skip to the skip button, and then stopped blocking youtube ads completely. I followed the developer recommendations from other review responses and they didn't help. As someone who spends a lot of time on youtube, I had to find another solution. I added Ublock and haven't gotten an ad on youtube since. Perhaps the paid pro version of ABP works better on youtube but I wasn't going to take the chance of upgrading just to find out it doesn't. ABP used to be the best ad blocker. It's a shame that it no longer works as well as it used to.

Used it for 15+ years, but it's now both functionally worse than uBlock Origin, and sends an annoying popunder every time it updates begging you to donate money for more features.

Works, usually, and isn't actively malicious or anything, but just save yourself the trouble and use uBlock.
