Very impressive. Strong options.
Sadly, no copy to clipboard, the most frequent function used on daily basis. At least popup won't run away but it's annoying to right click and find the menu item to copy. Shift-S again not capturing the frame, but saving. Another quick method: Drag and drop outside of browser not working. Saving a file/URL and the reopening is the slowest option and fragments drive with files not needed at all.
Gallery save is fantastic (tho it won't save videos).
There's major problem with popups on basically everything, either tiny icons or web's own gallery - then the popup gets annoying (same size image over the same size image). So i define min and max, but then i miss a shortcut to enforce popup (on filtered items). Tried Minimum size, Exclude background-images, Exclude if media URL is unchanged but it's not enough until the most useful setting "Open if size is +25%" exists. Disable Background pics would remove Aliexpress popups. I also get background preview even if objects above it - really annoying. It cannot be used in popup mode really!
Thanks!
PS Thanks! Will track GIT.
Note1: I mean copy _picture_! Not URL. Note2: re "enforce" i was thinking creatively of keeping mode (mouse hover/shortcut) with all limiting options in effect as it is, and add a modifier to enforce image detection no matter what - including background -> perfect picture digger feature usually not needed, but with just one keyboard modifier you can have it! Do background popups annoy you? you can dig missing pics from sites like Aliexpress instantly. 2 tool in once: classic popup and analytical pic digger. As seen on TV;)

Try Shift+C (default, modifiable via the Shortcuts tab). Alternatively, you can also setup an alternate popup trigger with its respective popup action set to "Copy link". Note that for this to work, "Enable writing to clipboard" (under the General tab) must be enabled.
Edit: Copy picture is tracked here: https://github.com/qsniyg/maxurl/issues/269

Thanks for letting me know, I hadn't thought of that use case! I suppose there could be an option to prevent dragging the popup (thereby allowing the image itself to be dragged) via a certain key being pressed. Or another option to disable popup movement altogether. Two more options couldn't hurt... :)

If I understand correctly, would a "Force popup trigger" key (that will open the popup regardless of the minimum size etc. options) fix the issue you're having?
> it's not enough until the most useful setting "Open if size is +25%" exists
I thought I'd added an option like that a while back, but I don't see it either. Yeah I completely agree that should be added :)

Thank you very much for the feedback, and sorry for the late reply. If you want to follow up, feel free to use one of the social channels (Github/Email/Discord/etc.), it's a bit hard to have a conversation on Mozilla Addons since it doesn't allow back-and-forth conversation unfortunately (unless they changed something recently).

Its even finding the larger images where i normally have to resize my browser to try and find the full size image.
I wonder if a little icon "up-scale image/s" would be helpful. I'm not always thinking to hit the key to enlarge things, and always active "hover" is too aggressive for general browsing.
I little tag either like the ones used by apps to rate or mark links as safe, or oh my, maybe like the floating Grammarly icon.
The first gives a coded (Yea/Nea) icon next to various elements with links.
The latter gives a floating red or blue ring around a number of things to improve... for you, it could be a number of images available to up-size. (Not sure if the latter needs an active element). But then, the first might only truly work on the search engines and is coded specifically knowing the Elements for the popular search engines. But then, if you can float the full image on hover, you should be able to hover an icon.
This is a great idea, thanks for suggesting!
I've tracked the former suggestion here: https://github.com/qsniyg/maxurl/issues/1570 . Edit: Implemented, it'll be in a future release.
The latter (if I understand correctly) can be done through:
- Buttons -> Highlight Images -> Automatically highlight images -> Always (or Hover)
- ^ -> ^ -> Only explicitly supported images -> Yes.
You can change the highlight ring color through the Highlight CSS style (e.g. outline: 2px solid #77f; border-radius: 5px ). Note that this currently will not work for all images, such as images that are displayed as a div+background-image style.

Glad to hear it's useful for you!
Regarding Chrome, I haven't updated the (sideloaded) extension to Manifest V3 yet, which is why it can't be installed under newer versions of Chrome. I'm not sure if it's possible or not without reducing its featureset, but it's something I'll look into in the future.
In the meantime, if you do still want to use it with Chrome browsers, you can still use it as a userscript (using something like Tampermonkey or ScriptCat), which has most of the functionality of the addon.

Now that Google reverse image lookup is no more this add-on is the best. I use it first to find larger/Better image. Even when it fails I can then use "Search by image" add-on, on what it did find to either search Google lens or TinyEye and about 10 other reverse lookup engines. Its not as convenient as google reverse lookup add-on I had but I believe I might actually be getting to what I want faster now. Not in steps but in results found. 60+% of time I find it in first step not needing "Search by image" add-on.
Hello, I just discovered this extension and I find it much better than Imagus. Thank you to the developer! However, I have a problem with Google Images: IMU 2025.12.0 works fine with the first 100 thumbnails on the page, but beyond that, IMU no longer displays the image in full size, but only the thumbnails.

Google Images recently updated, and the previous technique to find the original images past 100 (the preloaded amount) doesn't work anymore. I've implemented a fix for the userscript version, but unfortunately getting this to work on the extension version is a bit trickier, and might not land in the next release (it needs to intercept HTTP calls, which is definitely my least favorite approach towards supporting a website).
I've tracked the feature here: https://github.com/qsniyg/maxurl/issues/1533 . Note that once it's implemented, you will need to enable "Rules intercepting HTTP requests" (under the Rules tab). It's disabled by default because it carries a fingerprinting risk.
