Thank you for your explanation of the new permissions, and give you 5 stars. BTW, I hope the release notes for important changes could have obvious notice.

The new permissions are needed so that Copyfish can communicate with the UI.Vision XModule, which it uses for taking desktop screenshots, for the new desktop OCR feature. Of course, you only need to install the UI.Vision XModule if you want to OCR outside of the web browser, on the desktop. Typcial use case for this are grabbing text from desktop apps, popup dialogs, images, invoices, PDF,...).

Seems to work fine for other languages, but it doesn't support Thai :(
