    This is a neat little extension which sadly has developed an incompatibility with Firefox groups. Dev I appreciate you acknowledging that issue with groups. I hope you can fix it ASAP. In the meantime, think about simplifying the drop down menu; instead of two entries for alphabetical/URL/domain (ascending / descending), just make it a toggle that switches between the two. I believe in you!

    Edit: it looks like you already pushed a fix for the tabs LOL my bad. Thanks Dev, but keep in mind my suggestion for the sorting options :D

    Hi, the tab groups issue has been fixed.

    I have thought about an interface where direction is a separate field, but that is slower to interact with - in many cases it requires two clicks to achieve something. It would make sense if the number of filters grows (e.g. x2).

    The addon has not been updated in a while, but I will make sure it works with tab groups.

    Edit: tab groups have been fixed.

    "Sort automatically" doesn't work, probably because extension needs to be updated (Firefox 149)

    The ideia is great, but tabs are not sorted everytime I switch selected tab, so, for me is not working well.

    This may have been fixed by upgrading to manifest v3. Could you test with version 0.4?

    Amazing Extension, but doesn't work in Private Browsing Windows.

    This is a configuration option for the extension. If you click on "Manage extension", toward the bottom are two options "Run in private windows" and "Run on sites with restrictions".

    Works great. The only issue I have is the options don't seem to persist on browser closure. I have it set to sort automatically but each time the browser is closed I have to select the sorting option I want.

    Does what is says. Pretty useful. It's no longer in development I think but I wish it also did:
    -Custom sorting (e.g. "put example.com tabs at the start regardless of alphabetical order")
    -Sort by container tabs

    Thank you for the comment. Indeed I rarely have time for this plugin anymore.
    Regarding custom sorting, how do you imagine the UI for this? tbh I can't think of an easy way for the user to specify, short of them writing an expression.

    Edit: Sorting by container tabs has been implemented in 0.4.

    Unfortunately does not seem to work in private windows (yes, I have allowed it to 'Run in Private Windows').

    Update: I still love and use this addon. However, it needs to be made compatible with the new Firefox tab groups. When sorting, all tabs get removed from their groups and the groups are discarded.

    Way, way better than SortTabs. It is incredibly faster when you have a ton of tabs (I regularly have over 1,000 tabs as I study a ton) and does not have any intrusive required permissions–just access to browser tabs and that's it!

    "Sort automatically" does not always work. If this gets fixed it's a 5 star addon!

    Great app! I'd love if it was possible to have the sort menu also appear in the right-click menu on tabs.
