For about two weeks embedded 'Youtube' videos will not play on any websites. Filed a detailed report on Ghostery Support Page and have not had any response (That was a huge waste of time!). Worked great for years. Give it another day or two before I completely remove it. UPDATE: Support couldn't replicate. Asked for screenshot and other routine nonsense (I thought they were going to ask me to unplug Youtube and plug it back in! ) Never asked if I was signed into Youtube. That was the problem. CAN'T BE SIGNED INTO YOUTUBE. The only way around it is to turn-off AD TRACKING "globally" (every website) The specific Youtube site "exceptions" don't work as they should. I wonder how many people have this problem and just simply give up without contacting support and remove GHOSTERY. Might be many. One percent would be 10,000. Nah..I'm sure it's just me.

We only had one support request regarding embedded Youtube videos, which we replied to asking for examples of websites where this happens. We can only find solutions if we can reproduce the situation.

    Ive gotten SOOOOOOOO tired of youtube adds to scamsites.. almost all youtube adds are adds for scam-sites!! and it dsnt seem it mathers how many you report... Youtube never deletes the scammers! Atleast facebook had the desency towards there Users to block the scammer when reported.. Youtube dnt...!!! I shouldnt have to watch scam-commercials every 3-5 minutes just so youtube can make money by sellign the add-spots.

    Love Ghostery for ad blocking etc. Unfortunately more and more sites, especially her in the UK are refusing access whilst Ghostery is enabled. Developers need to find a work around for this or we'll be tracked and swamped with ads pretty soon.

    Very good at removing cookie popups although it could be quicker by like a second but overall very good I recommend.

    I see not a single crappy ads on web pages and youtube, and everything runs smoothly.

    TLDR: Lightweight, easy to use, informative, and effective. Highly recommend.

    I've been using Ghostery for years now and it is by far the most effective adblock I've used. The interface is clean, easy to navigate, and easy to understand (even for those with minimal PC knowledge.) Almost all ads are blocked; it is very rare that I end up seeing ads, and when I do, it's usually an obscure website, or YouTube breaking through briefly before a new update comes through promptly.

    This works great! It not only blocks ads, it also blocks trackers too! This is something I will always use! I wish there was a mobile version to block this stuff when browsing on a phone though!
