This is exactly the extension I was looking for. I watch a bunch of youtube channels & videos with "scary" content, but i tend to hate the thumbnails that go along with them (the clickbait-y trend for ~scary~ videos being what it is - "find the most disturbing visual & distort it into something even less pleasant to look at"), which makes it a slog to scroll through some of the channels i actually enjoy! thanks to the developer for making this add-on available, it works well & makes youtube a more accessible site to navigate. 5 stars

    Does what the addon says it will do. As others have mentioned, this makes the page much less interesting which is good for your mental health and focus.

    Seems to have stopped working on the sidebar? Thumbnails still show up, checked options. Seems to work fine elsewhere. Does it have to do with YouTube updates?

    It's not working for some reason right now. Now the thumbnails aren't being hidden anymore. You should update this add-on ASAP.

    Very nice extension.

    The "hide unless hovered" option is broken again, but I have faith that the developer will fix it soon. You can't prevent Youtube from updating their website.

    I would also love if video length was displayed somehow even when thumbnails are hidden, but that is a complex feature so I understand why it's not there.

    As for the main functionality, it works perfectly. Great for avoiding clickbait and getting your brain to focus on more productive and educational youtube videos.

    love this addon - i found it after trying to cover up thumbnails with multiple Jimmys(sadly not yet posible), id love to be able to pick my own colour for the single colour option.

    just came back to say, it would also be amazing if video lengths were on for all modes not just blur
