Works like it should.
The settings are a bit complicated.
I could have the option to have more than one set of criteria, before closing tabs. Eg. closing tabs after 20 min, when having more than 10 open, but also closing tabs after 10 min, when having more than 25 open.

works fine for the most part, but as of a couple days ago youtube tabs won't automatically discard any more when first opened, which is what I mainly use this for. Other than that I've not had any other real problems with this.

Edit: I originally gave this a three star review for the above issue, but it turns out Auto Tab Discard is interacting with UBlock Origin in a weird way and it's only when UBlock is active that I have this problem. Not really much I can do about it, but also not really the fault of this addon, so I bumped the rating up.

Everything works for me (that I've set it up for) except the option to discard pinned tabs on startup. Logs just say it's not ready. But, this add-on seems to be abandoned atm :(

Great addon to save your computer resources. Low on RAM or want to cut back your CPU usage, try this addon. Will suspend tabs in the background, freeing up RAM and using less CPU resources.

4/5 stars because there is one small bug that if you click on a discarded tab right after it's discarded, the page will fail to load. Fixed by a quick refresh.

Works great, but I'm worried that it hasn't been updated in two years.

This add-on works very well for improving performance, is easy to use, and has lots of customization options. However, one feature that it's sorely missing is the ability to view a tab or bring a tab into focus without un-discarding it. This is a major issue for me because I scroll through tabs to navigate my browser, so I end up loading a bunch of tabs I don't want to load. If there was an option to only un-discard a tab when I click in the tab instead of when I open it, this would be perfect.

1. Значок 💤 отнимает полезное пространство и не так хорошо сигнализирует как если бы сама иконка сайта становилась серой, как в The Marvellous Suspender, например. Иногда возникает путаница если 💤 эмодзи присутствует в названии сайта.
2. Скорость загрузки выгруженного сайта занимает много немного больше времени, чем ожидаешь и этим раздражает.
3. Большая нагрузка при выгрузке и попытках выгрузки сайтов расширением. С включением данного расширения появляются периодические подвисания системы.

As Firefox gets greedier and greedier with memory use (not to mention memory management bugs that never get fixed by devs) it is nice to be able to put unused tabs to "sleep".

Only 4 stars because the White Listing of tabs to keep them awake doesn't seem to work for me any more.

useful and helpful in reducing memory and CPU load on my aging PC.
Wish there was more flexibility with session keeping. for example, I'd like all the tabs of this current window to stay active for this session.

There could be a setting to delay the release of left and right tabs discard, for when you are just checking the active tab back and forth, and for when you really know you want the active tab, but loading the left and/or right tab(s) makes it take longer.

Very useful add-on ! Works perfectly ! Only thing I'd like to see, is the option to not reactivate automaticaly a tab whenever you click on it : I sometimes happen to missclick on the wrong tab I need, and thus activate the wrong tab

Good extension, but needs better defaults. E.g. "Do not discard a tab when it is pinned" should be ON by default.

In the latest 0.6.3.2 version of this plugin, the tabs that have reached the hibernation time cannot be automatically hibernated, I returned to the 0.5 version and it was fine. I am using Firefox Developer Edition 106.0 Beta 6 (20220929195234)
