Simple and effective. I noticed that, when slightly tired, I tend to regularly click on the bloody status button in spite of NOT being interested at all in people's self glorifications. That had to stop and this solves the problem once and (hopefully) for all.

my friend recommended me this extension, really nice, even WhatsApp has a lot of bloat these days.

and i agree with the other reviewer, even Gifs can become a distraction in a conversation. would be nice to have that removed.

Update: Yes, i mean specifically the "Gifs" section inside the pop-up.

Though i wouldn't mind it if you simply make a hide button for "Emojis, Gifs and Stickers" icon altogether since i can still use emojis using shortcuts like ":cat".
