So far I am very pleased with how this works in that the color matching with my Windows settings works fine and the colors chosen are perfect and do not make things hard to see.

There is one issue for me though and that is the only time the browser actually changes it's color is if I minimize it and then restore it. I have my Windows settings set that the background changes every ten minutes or so but the browser colors do not change along with it. I wish it did. This is a minor detail and not a deal-breaker or anything like that; it'd just be nice if the browser changed colors at the same time my desktop background changed.

EDIT: I did notice that the browser also changed colors when opening a new tab (but not all the time) so I don't actually have to minimize/restore the browser when my desktop background changes.

I addressed this in issue #17 (https://github.com/spikespaz/firefox-nativedark/issues/17), and I don't think there is a way to hook an event listener for when the Windows background changes. If I find a way, I'll surely fix this.

    I love this one, I'm amazed that vanilla Firefox doesn't include the chosen Windows color theme at all, this addon was kind of needed really

    Native Dark is the best theme, period. It's the holy grail of themes, the colors are infinitely configurable so it can be ANY THEME YOU WANT. (assuming you don't want to add any silly graphics, that is...)

    it was a really good extension until firefox 70. I have a dual monitor setup and firefox is on my main monitor, and as soon I focus on my second monitor, the top bar switches to the light theme. Any chance that this could be fixed?

    The only tiny issue I have with this addon is, I have Windows 10 set to cycle my wallpaper, and to automatically change the accent color based on the current wallpaper. When this happens, the rest of Firefox does not change until I click off and then back on it. It's not a huge problem, as I switch windows all the time anyway, but it's noticeable.

    One star for deceptive and confusing title. If you just want a static dark theme there are plenty of simpler and better alternatives.

    May I ask how you find the title deceptive? I don't know what criteria of yours this extension doesn't meet, but you can configure it in the options to look however you want. Please see the description on the GitHub repository, linked in the description of the add-ons page.
