- Z 2 z 5 pohódnoćenywot webistrator, 9 minute în urmăThe "take what you get" free server idea would be OK if it didn't corrupt one's browser language settings so that, for example, if one draws a Japanese server then one's browser language becomes Japanese and can't be reset--and yes, Firefox has default language control, but it doesn't work to reset the langauge. If one could at least choose preferred nations rather than having to accept the default picked by the Proton extension, life would be easier. Otherwise, one must disconnect totally from Proton VPN and reconnect later -- or do a quick study in Japanese, etc.!
- Z 4 z 5 pohódnoćenywot Wužiwar Firefox 19637391, 4 ore în urmăPretty great for all my uses and never had a problem connecting. Dropping one star because it's missing the favourite feature from the PC app, forcing me to scroll through the entire list of countries to find what I want instead of pinning my favourite to the top.

- Z 3 z 5 pohódnoćenywot westcoast, 2 zile în urmăI'm using this app already a few years (payed version) but the last few month the performance is terrible and a lot of sites are unreachable. If this is not improving soon, I'll unsubscribe me from proton. Also, in the beginning there was a greater choice of servers per country. But now the servers are mostly busy, busy, busy. No good service.
For a free service nice but for a payed service very poor!Wotmołwa wuwiwarja
je so o zi în urmă napisałSorry to hear that. Unfortunately, some websites block known VPN IP addresses. Contact us at https://protonvpn.com/support/contact with more details about the websites in question and the servers you're connected to when trying to access them so we can note your feedback for future improvement. Meanwhile, try switching between multiple different servers to see how it goes.
On another note, we constantly monitor server loads and our team makes sure to provision additional servers in areas where there's constant high demand. - Z 5 z 5 pohódnoćenywot Wužiwar Firefox 12545843, 6 zile în urmăI use the pro/paid version, and honestly I've had some issues with it during this time (specifically, connection problems or incredibly slow performance), but they were swiftly addressed and, truth be told, that happens with every app from time to time. My overall experience has been positive, and I'm a happy user.
- Z 5 z 5 pohódnoćenywot Braudeckel, 7 zile în urmă"Proton VPN exists to serve our community", oh yeah?????? we the "community" are asking for a simple feature to pin/favore countries/servers SINCE THREE YEARS, READ THE REVIEWS THREE YEARS AGO. NOTHING IS HOLDING YOU BACK, JUST DO IT. Happy to have Proton btw ;)
- Z 3 z 5 pohódnoćenywot Wužiwar Firefox 19655231, 8 zile în urmă1º I used Proton VPN but the free version. Then I stopped using it when I realized that public DNS was appearing. A disappointment of Proton VPN, the company must be managed by other people for other purposes.
2º If they do a dns leak test, the company Datacamp Limited appears. An England company rarely has a proton on it. It generates certain doubts in me. No wonder they are all millionaires in England.
3º I think that the authorities collaborate. changed their usage policy. What appears on the page is not what they say. "I can say one thing and do something else" generates doubt in me.
4º How can I know that the company Datacamp Limited does not leak everything. The company is registered in Switzerland but they hire an England company.Wotmołwa wuwiwarja
je so 5 zile în urmă napisałWe use a combination of our own and rented servers. Some of our servers and networks are fully owned and controlled by us, while others utilize third parties as we don't have facilities in every country. When we rent servers and networks, we only utilize trusted data centers that meet all of our security criteria and are able to provide us with full access to the server itself, and we only use bare-metal servers. All our servers also utilize full-disk encryption so that no third-party can extract data off of them even if they have physical access to the hardware.
That said, DataCamp Limited is one of many providers that we use in order to provision servers in a certain location. Rest assured, these servers are completely under our control, and the same privacy and security principles apply to them as well. In any case, if you wish to connect to servers that are wholly owned and provisioned by us, you can enable the Secure Core feature: https://protonvpn.com/support/secure-core-vpn.
Last but not least, you have no reason to worry about your data when using Proton VPN. We have a strict no-logs policy protected by Swiss law, and we are open-source and undergo regular third-party audits of our services. You can learn more at https://protonvpn.com/blog/is-protonvpn-trustworthy. Our privacy policy can also be found at https://protonvpn.com/privacy-policy. - Z 5 z 5 pohódnoćenywot Petr Strnad, 9 zile în urmă
- Z 3 z 5 pohódnoćenywot ash, 10 zile în urmăHandy extension for tunneling your web browsing through a VPN. On Windows the extension reconnects when the system wakes, but on macOS the extension gums up the whole browser if the system went to sleep with the VPN connected, necessitating unloading and reloading the extension.

je so 8 zile în urmă napisałThe default Connect option will connect you to the fastest available server for you. This leads to better load balancing and higher speed, which is a priority for free users. That said, you still have the option to switch to another randomly allocated server by disconnecting and reconnecting, or you can upgrade to connect to a specific server in a country of your choice. - Z 5 z 5 pohódnoćenywot Wužiwar Firefox 18745471, 10 zile în urmă

- Z 2 z 5 pohódnoćenywot idontknow651, 15 zile în urmăI think a VPN extension only really needs ONE feature: quick-connect to a previously favorited country.
It is ridiculous that ProtonVPN does not have this.
I would take ANYTHING:
- A way to pin/favorite countries or servers
- A second button next to Connect that
- An option in the settings for what happens when I left click the extension
- create a hotkey to auto-connect to my favorites
I've only ever EVER used it to connect to a different country. But if I don't manually choose it in the list, then it will choose MINE. Why?! It's basically useless.
And I specifically only ever use Japan 99% of the time, and the US in the remaining 1%.
(I suspect a great majority of people use it similarly. Mostly one country.)
Both of which—because the list is in alphabetic order—I literally cannot even simply scroll down to!
Japan takes about 4 wheel turns, and the US takes 8.
So, evidently, I instead search for them. Just typing J or U is enough.
And THANKFULLY the search input is automatically focused. This is why the app gets 2 stars, not 1.Wotmołwa wuwiwarja
je so 12 zile în urmă napisałSorry to hear that. The default Connect option will connect you to the fastest available server for you, which is often one that's closer to your actual location. That said, although the option to favorite servers or countries is not available at the moment, we've added your vote to the existing feature request so the team can prioritize it accordingly. You can follow our blog and our direct channels for any news and updates. - Z 5 z 5 pohódnoćenywot Wužiwar Firefox 19649193, 15 zile în urmă
- Z 5 z 5 pohódnoćenywot CaptainMiragee, 18 zile în urmăproton needs no introduction, i would say its one of the best vpn extentions and an app too right next to windscribe, basically the only two that have a free plan but boy is the paid plan so much better
- Z 3 z 5 pohódnoćenywot Davide, 19 zile în urmă1. Can not specify favorite countries. You have to search a list of 900 countries, even though everyone mostly only uses a handful of them.
2. Can not be enabled only for specific *containers* (to specied countries.)
This is also easily possible with other VPNs via the Mozilla Container extension, if you would have a SOCKS5 proxy address. to use with Proton...
Other than that, it works.Wotmołwa wuwiwarja

- Z 2 z 5 pohódnoćenywot Snoozer, 22 de zile în urmăGreat when it works. I constantly lose connection when trying to stream content on my browser. When I disconnect from the extension I have no connection issues. I have two server locations close to me and I try to switch when my connection slows down. But, this doesn't seem to help.
