    does not work for me in FF 80.0.1
    manual proxy aside works great, clicking addon's icon does not switch direct to manual mode.

    You most likely need to enable the extension in Private mode. Firefox has broken the permission model for proxy by just having extensions fail silently when global settings are changed and using the extension in Private mode is not enabled. While at the same time there doesn't seem to be any way to request private mode permission.

    Does exactly what it should.
    In Firefox 67+ you have to allow it to Run in Private Windows in order to work, since settings managed by this app affects browsing in all FF widows, including private.

    Долго скал просто готовую кнопку на панели инструментов в firefox, для простого и быстрого переключения стандартных настроек прокси. Что бы не лазить постоянно когда надо включить прокси в Настройки сети. Это то что надо.
    PS/ в настройках дополнения, есть возможность сменить тип переключаемого режима прокси.
    Радость продлилась не долго, firefox обновился до версии 72 и плагин работать перестал ((((

    This is exactly the function I needed, and it works perfectly with my ssh tunnel. I tried two other add-ons before this one which didn't work. This is just a remote switch for Firefox's built-in proxy setting on/off. Saves time and mouse clicks to do what I need to do! Thank you Pedro!

    I just wanted a simple button to turn a SOCKS proxy on and off, and this extension works perfectly. It uses the built-in Firefox proxy configuration instead of trying to duplicate its functionality and provide options I don't need.

    Done everything in the about page, I can toggle it once and it works the first time but after toggling it off and on again it doesn't connect to proxy anymore.

    In your extension settings what is "When on" set to?

    And this extension doesn't do anything to setup your proxy. If your proxy is disconnected it will naturally not work. The extension just changes the Firefox settings.

    New version doesn't work _at all_. It's impossible to configure; it claims to use Firefox's own configuration, but Firefox doesn't let you used that while this extension is installed (because it "controls the Internet connection"), plus that config is cleared if you disable/enable this extension.

    Reverted back to 0.4 and it works again.

    The extension works fine here. You can only change the settings while the proxy is off (globe is grey). That's the way add-ons work, once an add-on sets a setting it can't be changed manually. The reason for the change is that the way the extension worked before did not have all the options users wanted, this way everything that can be set in the firefox settings can be used.

    This app allows you to easily configure a proxy and then to toggle that proxy on or off with the click of a button. It requires a minimum amount of permissions granted. Thanks!
