    - remove the original add-on from Firefox
    - download firefox.zip from https://github.com/Anarios/return-youtube-dislike/releases/tag/v3.0.0.11
    - go to about:addons
    - Under the cogwheel - click on 'Debug Add-ons'
    - click on Load Temporary Add-on...
    - select firefox.zip

    I recommend to check reddit r/youtube where I found this solution.

    Youtube hat mal wieder an der Schraube gedreht. Denke der Entwickler wird bald ein Update bringen, dann sieht man die Dislikes wieder.

    It stopped working with Firefox&Chrome. Google/Youtube is still trying to prevent us from seeing the dislikes. It works only with Microsoft Edge. Version 3.0.0.11
    @ALL: STOP GIVING ONE STAR FOR SOMETHING THE DEVELOPER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR. I'M SURE THERE WILL BE AN UPDATE AND AFTER THAT GOOGLE/YOUTUBE WILL MAKE SURE IT DOESN'T WORK AGAIN. BE GRATEFUL THAT THIS ADON EXISTS!

    YouTube broke dislikes again will update review in future when i remember or reminded on fix

    There has been an update for the extension which requires you to install it manually for now:

    - remove the original add-on from Firefox
    - download firefox.zip from https://github.com/Anarios/return-youtube-dislike/releases/tag/v3.0.0.11
    - go to about:addons
    - Under the cogwheel - click on 'Debug Add-ons'
    - click on Load Temporary Add-on...
    - select firefox.zip

    It used to work, but when I first downloaded it there was a message about how youtube was going to completely remove the bits that were previously just hidden which this addon relied on. Anyway, looks like those bits have now been fully removed.

    Looks like the addon does not work in Firefox 118.0.2 under Linux :-(
