I've used Speed Dial for years but this is by far the worst version. Sure it's convenient but it's to the point now that it will only display the title in the placard but no image. Additionally, there is no way to manually insert an image.

I am missing posibility to use more tabs/groups with dials

Fast and somewhat customizable like old FVD Speed dial was, but SpeedDF can't handle localfile links. keeps trying to convert them to HTTP. Also, search bar can't be removed, and it's locked to yahoo!?! Not helpful.

Compared to the original Speed Dial ( which I never had any issues with regarding security ) this effort is rubbish! I don't use Yahoo as a search engine, I want to customise each Dial so I can see exactly what it relates to and when I open Firefox I want the Speed Dial page to come up immediately and for each dial I select to open in a new tab automatically and leave the Speed dial as a default.

Since Speed Dial [FVD] was removed I've been looking for a new speed dial. This is not it. You can't add tabs, your own images on the dials or set a custom background. I can't recommend this add-on in its current state.

Why can't I insert my own image into the link like "FVD Speed Dial" that Firefox blocked?

The developer doesn’t know what a web address might look like, but puts fancy rules. Half of URL addresses cannot even be added because of "Error: Valid URL is required!". Even though website preview is working.

I am uninstalling because I cannot change search engine!

I was looking for a simple dial screen plugin, but removed this as soon as I realized that it automatically rearranges the thumbnails all the time. That makes it unusable.

I am coming from another speed dial extension and, unless I am missing something, there is no import function. I can't use this until I can import from Speed Dial 2 or FVD. I need groups too which are not available here. It looks as if it has the makings of a good app but not yet for me. Good luck, I'll check again in the future.
