This addon is awesome! I tried some alternatives without any luck. This one actually works. It's great because I get audio clicks with my Macbook Air when there are enough tabs open. The addon resolves that issue entirely. No clue why this isn't a feature built into Firefox. My one suggestion to the author is to add an exceptions list so that some domains don't get unloaded; sometimes I have open temporary conversations with ChatGPT in tabs and don't want those unloaded. Otherwise, great job!

Setup a shortcut to unload the active tab. It will jump to the next loaded tab.
Separate shortcuts Default Alt__PGUP/PGDOWN to jump between loaded tabs, instead of FF Ctrl_TAB which reloads the unloaded tab!

Lets me set a keyboard shortcut to unload a Tab, like Alt+W, and switches to an active tab when doing so and when an active tab is closed it moves to active tabs only. Perfect!!
I also added a dot indicator and desaturation+low opacity in my userChrome.css file for unloaded tabs. Love it!

No way to set the delay time before the tab unloads. At least none that I could find.

Great! I can unload current using tab by using hotkey. Also able to unload other tabs except current tab.

Firefox has its own Tab Discard feature, if you dont have little RAM, dont use "Auto Tab Discard" or others.

But this is really useful, mainly when having bad internet speeds

One error for when there's no loaded-tab to switch to, allow app to open 'New Tab' and switch to it as default behavior. I believe adding this functionality would really make the extension nicer. Otherwise, the function is very nice to lower browser resources, I use it often!

Works somewhat still but has increasingly issues that break the browser.

Excellent. Frees up memory and CPU by unloading the page and its active assets, but keeps the tab in the list. Prevents Firefox from focusing the unloaded tabs well enough but sometimes Firefox does what it does.

I regularly have 50+ tabs open. Since Big Sur, being able to unload tabs makes the fans run quietly.
