Adblock works when they want it to work. It blocks ads. It even allows you to make custom blocks. BUT it has no means to import custom lists you have already built. Which mean you have to re-import each rule one by one on each installation. Extremely tedious. Especially when you can include Adblock's own lists with a simple two clicks. Import was a feature they REMOVED in a previous version, for no obvious reason except to make the software less useful. If you like the pre-built lists, great. If you want to roll your own, Beware.

Other ad blockers have enough common sense not to CAUSE THEIR OWN POP-UP ADS. When good ad blockers like uBlock Origin update, they do it quietly without bothering the user. The people at ABP thought you wouldn't mind annoying adverts if it was from them. Advertising to me a product I already have installed is a sure sign these people do not respect users time.

közzétéve: egy hónapjaWe appreciate your feedback. We use a system called smart allowlisting: if you do not visit a website that you have allowlisted within 7 days, it gets automatically removed from your allowlisted websites. If you visit it in 7 days, it will get renewed for another 7 days.
