I don't want to pay Google even more for storage even though they make bulk deletion so very difficult, this extension makes it easy. It works well, automatically selecting photos as you scroll through them. I selected about a thousand a time and binned them, It took me about one coffee worth of minutes to delete 60Gb..

It works pretty well. MUCH better than the crap Google Photo offers to delete stuff.
