Good first experience. This allowed me to easily test text-to-speech on ChatGPT.

The popup how-to information following the install was fantastic!

Great add-on. I use it to listen (and download) too short stories that have no official audiobook.
I have the premium plan and find the pricing very fair and reasonable.

You have to bring a little time with you, when you have long texts or want to generate a bunch of audios in short intervals, cause of the restrictions Chat GPT enforces. But that is clearly stated in pop-ups in the add-on interface.

not sure why everyones rating this so low. it literally works so smoothly and if you use chatgpt a lot the voice is familiar obviously bc its the chatgpt voice. not much else to say. if i were to be really picky id wanna see a feature to have it play in the same tab without opening a new tab when you select it from the right click panel but hey it works its smooth and its free so i love it

Not sure why people keep giving this a low rating, the text to speech is completely free as stated. The downloads are supported up to 2500 characters so its not the worst, you can always upgrade if you need more.

EDIT 2: I was just searching for another type of add-on and saw this one was at 3.9 stars in the list... And this has more bad consequences that we could think.

So I did increase the number stars because I think, even if I don't agree with the different changes, no-one deserves to be below 4 stars when they care about their app, especially when the developer is taking care to answer people, or explain why things are changing.

A lot has changed in 2 weeks, now it's partly a pay add-on for some voice.

The developer want to change the "free" voice every 2 weeks, thus everything I did with the voice I did use, will be like throwing all to the trash... it does not make sense to have multiple different voice for my chapters...

In just 2 weeks the developer change too much things, inconsistency... makes this add-on unreliable, something you cannot count on it, that's sad.

Now I see it as a bait, and I don't like to be baited.

But in the end, it did force me to find a better solution > kokorodoki on github, it has a GPL V3 license, truly free, no internet needed and it's a very good TTS, even better than this addon, and once you have chosen a voice you keep it, not like this add-on...

Just a bit problem when you need to copy and paste your content that need to read, but I believe thing will improve over time.
