来自 WinXP_in_2025， 9 个月前I usually don't write these, but created an account just to be #8 to review this extension. It's so user friendly, supporting both an icon over highlighted text AND hotkeys if you fancy that. I've tried others and it's surprising how many can't get this to work reliably.
Just love the tool and when the need for syncing comes up I will go premium.

- 评分 4 / 5来自 the meteorite， 12 小时前this is so helpful as a person who frequently does research and reads articles and fiction online!! i often want to leave my own notes and favorite parts of an article so i can come back and visit later, and the number of color options here are amazing. smooth experience, although some websites do tend to slow down a little if the extension is running. overall, though, my favorite web highlighter i have tried so far.

发布于 6 个月前Hi Franz, you’re right – I was using the Mellowtel library in Web Highlights to support the environment by planting trees (more on that here: https://web-highlights.com/blog/planting-trees-worldwide-with-our-browser-extension/).
That said, after some thought, I decided to remove the Mellowtel library as it doesn’t fully align with Web Highlights Privacy Policy. I am now exploring other ways to support the environment.
Please try the new version – I hope you’ll enjoy using Web Highlights again.

Like any add-on, it takes up some memory, and on occasion it has slowed down my internet response time on some applications. I simply disable the feature during those times, but it is a valuable tool in highlighting text for the articles and studies that I like to read.
- Ever find yourself coming back to a page to reference the important text? Well, highlight it!
That way you can see what you wanted to remember at a glance in your Web Highlights dashboard, or even go to the page and find your highlights in the text.

The only issue is when taking notes if I press the `s` button it toggles the web-highlighter menu on/off. Thus I'm unable to use `s` when taking notes on it.

- idk why it is so underrated,i think it still didnt reached mouth to mouth.why you people are using other web highlighters,please use this,this man Marius is so damn outstanding.what a product ,hatsoff to the guy for his ideals,otherwise no one can think,that such a good extension can be free.Keep continuing.
