- Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 15978319, 3 anni faIt works in 91.
I would like to see the context menu item for bookmarks in the bookmarks bar. - Valutata 5 su 5di keithhsturgill, 6 anni faExactly what I was looking for. A quick tab for a Youtube watch without ruining my algorithm and other similar scenarios.
- Valutata 5 su 5di KlausDevWalker, 6 anni faSuch a wonderful extension! Its feature had to come built-in in Firefox! No more open windows just to use a private tab (much needed when you're having login issues). Could you add an option to open containers in the same tab? Anyway, thanks for sharing it with us.

- Valutata 5 su 5di LeDeMon De Ricota, 7 anni faPerfect substitution for private tab browser with group memory but we need one option in the tabbar icon for open a selected container and no the predetermined like "cg 1"

- Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 13487715, 7 anni faVery good Add-on. I'm using it as a replacement for Private-Tab which isn't working anymore since Firefox 57 with WebExtensions.
It would be great to make the "Alt + c" shortcut configurable. Or at least give some options for the shortcut. I think many users came from Private-Tab where "Strg + Alt + p" is the shortcut we used for years. So it would be cool, to have it open a new container now :) - Valutata 5 su 5di Alexey Murz Korepov, 8 anni faVery useful for temporary enter in accounts and good alternative to Private tab extension, that not works in Firefox 57!
- Valutata 5 su 5di Thanos Massias, 8 anni faIf one wants to organize her browsing around a specific set of "persistent" containers ( like the standard Personal, Work, Banking & Shopping ) she can use, for example, 'Firefox Multi-Account Containers' or 'Sea Containers'.
'Containers on the go' takes another approach by creating new non-descript "temporary" containers, beyond the range of the "persistent" ones, named 'CG 1', 'CG 2' etc.
A nice thing is that both 'Firefox Multi-Account Containers' and 'Sea Containers' can "see" and use the
'Containers on the go' containers. 'Firefox Multi-Account Containers' can even edit/delete them. - perfect addon, would have written it myself if it didn't exist already.
that said I have one idea to increase usability even more: automatically create containers based on the domain
so basically a second mode where containers are created when you open a new tab and it's a new domain, or assigned to an existing container if one exists for this domain (including subdomains).
might be a bit problematic with redirects maybe, but it frees the user from the need to check the domain before deciding if it can be opened in the same or a new container.
just something to think about. good work in any case! - It's a great addition to Containers Extension. However, it is no longer released under GPL. Also author doesn't provide release notes.
Edit:
Thank you for the release notes. I reconsidered my opinion. This add-on deserves 5 stars despite proprietary license.
Why is open source license important to me as an user? It's because it happened too many times that I've been using some proprietary software which has been abandoned at some point or the maintainer decided to ship some crap with it and make it much worse. If something similar happens to open source software there's always someone who creates a fork and I don't end up looking for alternatives (which often do not even exist).
Edit2:
I'd like to suggest additional feature. Right now this extension provides an option to "Open link in new container" in the context menu for hyperlinks only. It would be nice to have this context menu option for selected link that is not a hyperlink, just like you have "Open link" option that Firefox gives you.Replica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 8 anni faI am new to the add-on development I don't know what are the practices.
I thought to add release notes when I have some relevant information for the users. But if you need release notes in any case then I will do that for the future. I added the release notes for the current version as "Minor code optimizations".
Can I ask you how is the license relevant to you as an end user? I see that the license may be relevant to another developer/distributor who wants to use parts of the code. - Valutata 5 su 5di Firebreathing, 8 anni faExcellent extension. Extremely useful.
A couple ideas:
1. Start the browser in CG 1 instead of the non-container space.
2. Have the new tab (+) button open a new tab in the current container group.
3. Upload to a source control website like GitHub. - Valutata 5 su 5di Jonathan Kingston, 8 anni faThis was actually was one of the most requested features for the Test Pilot experiment. Would you be willing to upload to a source control website? I would like to fix the changes we are making in Firefox 57 for when containers are disabled.
Feel free to reach out to the containers team: containers@mozilla.com - Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 13266845, 8 anni faLoving the addon, good way to keep sites from setting data permanently in localstorage.
I have a request, could you make the Alt + c shortcut make the address bar get focus? I'd like to be able to type into the address bar after opening a new container just like I can when I open a new tab with ctrl + t.
ThanksReplica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 8 anni faIt is implemented and in the review queue. Unfortunately the review queue is very slow.
