di Utente Firefox 17993023, 3 anni fae2: my original complaint still stands since the default is forced for every client and there's nothing to stop everyone else from picking a worse thumbnail just because it picks whever you happen to be in the video when you edit it --- and it being a crowdsourced extension means that more often than not the thumbnails are an out of context or blurry mess. not to mention people editorializing the titles or overly sanatizing them.
e: thanks for the reply - guess i was blind due to the extension being tucked away in the 'more extensions' thing. still annoying that its default behaviour though, especially the thumbnail thing. surely picking a random motion blurred time is more detrimental than a potentially clickbaity thumbnail?
forcing titlecase is obnoxious, really wish there was a toggle for that as it kinda steamrolls the grammar/form of other languages just because they happen to use the latin script (!) or stylistic choices for the video title.
also by default it seems to choose your current position in the video as the new thumbnail even if you haven't explicitly picked it - a lot of times results in people removing an okay thumbnail and it getting replaced with motionblurred nonsense.
i know it sounds petty but if these are my only two bits of feedback then it must be good !

- Valutata 1 su 5di Utente Firefox 20013628, 4 giorni faNo activation button available, only trial for 6 hours. So every 6 hours i have to reactivate it, essentially replacing one annoyance with another.
Yea, I'm never paying for this, would've considered it if it just flat out said it's a paid extension, which it is. - Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 18901250, 8 giorni fa

- Valutata 1 su 5di SleepyLatte, 18 giorni faOpen source and community driven but give me money. Intresting concept, so the money you make, do you give it to people who actually keep this garabge running? Oh no you dont, because you totally did all of the work! Like no one else on this planet was willing to do it for free, just another cancer

Just like with SponsorBlock, the entire database of submisisons is published at https://sponsor.ajay.app/database under a creative commons license - Valutata 1 su 5di dysfun, un mese faapparently wants to force me to activate it before it'll work at all, except the activation button is just flat out missing. waste of time.

- One of the best YouTube extensions out there.
It's up there with Sponsor block and UBlock Origin.
It's very time saving, especially when browsing through your recommendations page (it makes your digest more productive.)
Most of these big tech channel videos are frequently summarized into a small sentence.
I've found it most useful for tech videos (as most custom titles lie here)
The feature where it shows a random screenshot of the video in the thumbnail is amazing, it helps me preview videos that are obviously AI generated.
I love this extension, and I suggest others to contribute to the project by:
buying the product - it's only $1 !!!
donating to the developer.
source thumbnails and titles yourself to help expand the project!
share it with your friends.
the only problem I have with it, is that it isn't popular enough, making custom titles quite rare in normal feeds. - Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 18414040, 2 mesi fa

pubblicato il 2 mesi faCan you verify if you are on the latest version of the extension? (2.3.6)- Valutata 5 su 5di Chris Hayes, 3 mesi faGenuinely improves my YouTube experience.
Yesterday for some reason it stopped working and was making Firefox hang, so I disabled it. I forgot I did that and was wondering why YouTube suddenly felt a lot more click-bait-y than usual.
I love that thumbnails actually represent how the video looks, and that I no longer see video titles that tell me absolutely nothing about the video.
My $1 has been well worth it. - Valutata 4 su 5di Utente Firefox 17842467, 3 mesi faI don't understand installing it and subsequently leaving a negative review for the fact that it does what it says, or for the $1 dollar payment that you *don't have to pay.* That said, this is often broken and may not always be as useful as you'd think (people like to inject their opinions into the new titles for example; this is often fixed eventually but it's kinda irritating when bad titles stay up). You can just go through the settings to limit or remove title changes, though.
Edit: Re-read what I said, this is a pretty neutral review -- unchanged by your response.Replica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 3 mesi faIf it's still not working for you, try making sure it's not asking for extra permissions. You can go to about:addons, and click the gear icon and click "Check for updates". If there is a popup in the top right asking for permissions to access dearrow.ajay.app (the DeArrow homepage), click "Update" - Valutata 1 su 5di Utente Firefox 19858893, 3 mesi fa

pubblicato il 4 mesi faHi, it's not meant to be predatory, and does not promise to be free. It is a paid extension that allows most people to use it for free if they choose- Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 14902700, 4 mesi faGreat extension, can't imagine my life without it now.
But just yesterday it stopped working. First the button to show original video title and thumbnail disappeared and now all titles and thumbnails are original clickbaity ones. Changing any settings in the extension or restarting it doesn't help sadly :(

Reinstalling the extension fixed the issueReplica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 4 mesi faHi, this was fixed in version 2.3.4 which has now been reviewed by Mozilla so you should be able to just update
Edit: they made another change, it's fixed in 2.3.4. If you don't want to wait for Mozilla to review it, you can install the beta by clicking "FirefoxSignedInstaller" on https://github.com/ajayyy/DeArrow/releases/tag/2.3.5
