- Единственная достаточно полноценная замена настоящему Speed Dial, который с Firefox 57 не совместим.
Главное, спокойно восстановил все диалы из сохранённой копии SD Backups, а их около 500 в 23 группах.

- I have a few dozen of website and this add on allow me to group them into "Dials" and open them with one click. Saving me lots of right click and open in Tabs action. However there is just a few things,
1. Open Dial ( Replace Current ) - This needs an option to have it hidden. Because Replace Current actually delete EVERY tab you have right now. And Undo Close tab wont help. I am a heavy tab user and this features had me lost 140 Tabs with no way to trace them back. Or at least have an confirmation window before doing so. Personally I want an option to hide it, or heck hide it as Default!.
2. Sane Default - I think the Dials being 1:1 proportion, using Top Site as initial Dial, or have default Group as Top Site, dial name at the bottom with default Thumbnail size the same as Top Site. etc. ( Inline with the current theme of Top Site in Firefox )
3. And Small things is Option should be a separate Tab or Pages instead of all the way at the bottom of Add-On. Huge Discovery problem.

I'm really sorry to hear that you lost your tabs, I know the feeling, I have many tabs opened in several Firefox windows and closing them would be disaster!
Anyway soon I will implement fully customize-able context menus so you will be able to remove / add and change shortcuts for items in context menu (and I will hide the dangerous one by default).
2) I'm not sure what you mean here... Are you talking about the fixed ratio for dials? And what do you mean by "Top Site"?
Regarding dial name at bottom, there is a basic support for this in the Options page (but it doesnt look that good, I will need to play with it a bit more when I have more time).
3) You are right, options page in the bottom is super annoying. I will put it into separate page (this is planned right after I finish the current auto-reload feature and translations support).

Juraj Mäsiar - Good replacement for Josep del Rio's version, but the feature I miss the most is the keyboard shortcuts. I used to be able to hit ctrl1-5 for speeddial options 1-5 from anywhere in the browser. Would like to see that added but other than that it's very close to del Rio's.
- I used to use Speed Dial by Josep del Rio, it is still the best in my mind but there is none like that in Chrome.
Then I tried FVD. It is good but so lagging, slow down my browser and have few limitation of dials (have to pay for more).
Now, I tried Group Speed Dial and it works very well. I can also have the same dials in Chrome.

However the pro options is very interesting.
More suggestion:
- Have some options to customize the size of screen shot in case that I have many many dials in a single group, the dials will be so small and screen shot looks bad. If I can capture the screenshot for example: 800x600 and automatically resize to match the dial size will be very good.

Regarding your suggestions, I'm working for several weeks now on the auto-reload and advanced thumbnails generation that should enable higher resolutions. It should be finished in next few days (I'm already behind schedule so wish me luck :)).

Actually you can have up to 400 dials (20 x 20) in one group now. Just right click the group name (upper left corner) and click "Edit group" and change number of row / columns.
Also you can create several groups and organize your dials into tree-like structure.

Juraj Mäsiar- Import from Speed Dial [FVD] worked flawlessly. Took a few mins to figure out thumbnail sizing (scaling/ratio stuff), but once figured out, I could set things to resemble what I've been used to for years.
Coming from SD [FVD] I still wish the addon would allow scrolling without forcing users to obey max amount of dials per one group screen without affecting size. But I'm satisfied with this addon nevertheless.

Yes you are right. I've noticed this as well but I was not able to find a solution that time - either it would blink white for users with black theme or vice versa...
However I have some new ideas now so I will try to improve it again. Wish me luck :)

It just opens the page in the panel when I left click and drag. The panel won't reposition at all. If this were working then this would be a superb replacement for SpeedDial.

No, I can't even move a dial within a group..it just opens the website immediately, in the dial..it won't let me move it or reposition it anywhere,,even within the same group.

If I understand you correctly, you want to move some dials between groups, right? You can do that, just drag the dial over the group name and when the group opens, just drop it on one of the dials in the opened group.

Juraj Mäsiar - Valutata 5 su 5di Registrierter Benutzer, 8 anni faas a previous user of uworks SD i really appreciate this extension although i created dials from scratch. i found GSD in chrome store and it installed in chromium longer ago.
for FVD i can only say - it contains the option to show ads and they made speed dial 1+2 disappear in chrome store, i do not honor this behavior. and their backups and not compatible to anything - id took me hours to adjust dials for import in GSD (for a good friend of mine)
i was asked about opening dials in a private window - please add this option if possible.
btw GSD wont work in firefox 56.
overall rating is 5*, donating is welcome although i dont use to sync online.
PS afaik FVD is working on a WE, i dont care!

I like the idea with the private window, I can do that soon.
Later there will be also option to always open specific dials in new private window. Just give me several days :)

I'm trying to bring as much features to the free version as possible.
However each month I have to pay for renting my cloud server that is used for synchronization between devices (including those with free version).
The Pro version features (thumbnails synchronization) requires additional resources on my server and I would have to pay much much more to give it to everybody. Right now one sold lifetime Pro license covers only part of my monthly renting costs :).
And also I'm developing this add-on for 11 months now (roughly more than 1000 hours of work).
But if I manage to establish some solid income from donations and enterprise sector I should be able to rent better server and give all Pro features for everybody. Wish me luck :)

I'm really sorry, but navigating to internal pages (like about:addons) or files on disk or other extensions pages is not possible anymore due to web-extension API restrictions.

Juraj Mäsiar- Excellent replacement SpeeldDial for FF 58+, with a lot of color settings, the distance tabs. It works very fast. Very convenient and modern. It is possible for two or three people on the same browser not to change profiles of settings, but simply install this extension with visual tabs.

That said, "fast" is isn't. Frequently it can take several seconds to load into a new tab (5-12) while others it is of an acceptable speed. I can almost guarantee you there is something wrong with your Firefox :). Or maybe just some strange incompatibility with some of the other add-ons you use if you are still running Firefox 56 (next Firefox version 57 should fix this).
Anyway, New tab page must be loaded way below one second on every PC. I'm focusing on speed in all of my add-ons so this is just impossible :)
What should help you is "Reset Firefox" feature:

When I enable this feature, you can not change the dialing position by dragging the dialing on the home page, and you can not transfer the dial to other groups.
Turn off the super drag and drop function, everything is normal.
The drag-and-drop feature comes from Firefox -UC-FeiRuoMouse.uc.js.
Presumably this problem may also exist in other extensions with the "Super Drag" function, or it may not. If I remember correctly, UC permissions are relatively high.
This is a very convenient extension, really hope that after you can increase the search bar, allowing users to add their favorite search engine.

I'm not sure I understand but all incompatibilities between add-ons should be fixed once Firefox 57 is released (about month from now).
I will add "Search bar" feature to my todo list :), however there is issue with Firefox - when you open new tab page, focus is always in address bar and my dials page cannot take it. (hopefully this will change in new Firefox versions...)

Juraj Mäsiar - Thank you for a such nice add on, it's a decent substitute for a Josep del Rio speed dial I have been looking for long time.
One suggestion; would be great if "refresh by visiting page" would work with single button on a whole group of dials, now I need to click one by one dial, and I have hundreds of them. Without "refresh by visiting" image quality is poor and look ugly and grisly.
One problem, it works great in chromium (mint 18.2.) but when I want to import speed dial to firefox it says Error: { }
Group speed dial version is 5.5. Solution to this is a bit awkward, first import "Josep del Rio speed dial settings" into chromium, then export "group speed dial settings" from chromium to firefox.Replica dello sviluppatore

Regarding refreshing thumbnails, currently resolution of thumbnail is determined by the target dial dimensions when you create it - so if your browser window is not maximized when you reload thumbnail, you don't get optimal resolution. This should get fixed by upcoming big upgrade with auto-reload feature.
However after that I suppose I can still add "Reload by visit for group" feature, so stay tuned :)
Regarding the issue with import, I just fixed one bug there so please try again with current version 5.6.
If it won't help, please send me your backup file to my support e-mail and I will try to fix it.

Juraj Mäsiar - Edit: few years late but just noting here that he added an extension to do ctrl + number shortcuts to open dials in new tabs and current tabs etc. so this is now a perfect addon. 5 stars no requests no complaints just does it all. there is a bug at the moment which is why I'm here again but on his github he has noted that he's fixed it already and is just waiting for firefox to push the update.

Looks great, but just missing one thing that I desperately need, keyboard shortcuts! If I press Ctrl + 1 I want to go to my first tab in the speed dial. As if I'd want to keep that default "go to first tab" behaviour.. like what do they expect me to count all my tabs, then type Ctrl + 23 to go to tab #23? who thought of that feature? Let me replace it with shortcuts for your speed dial!
