- Valutata 3 su 5di Utente Firefox 18612415, 9 giorni faI really think in 2026 there should be a keyboard shortcut to autofill a username and password (like bitwarden's command+shift+L). it's the most frustrating part. I also miss the folder structure from Bitwarden (but this might just be something I'm used to)

pubblicato il 8 giorni faThank you for the review. We've taken note of your feedback regarding folders for future consideration. Keyboard shortcuts, on the other hand, are already available. Navigate to the extension's burger menu ☰ → Settings → General → scroll down to "Keyboard shortcuts". Replica dello sviluppatore

We'd be more than happy to document your feedback, but we need to have a clear understanding first. Contact us at https://proton.me/support/contact with more details.- Valutata 3 su 5di Buggi, un mese faIt's ok, but feels like a downgrade coming from BW extension. Less polished and less accurate in recognizing websites and login fields. It often doesn't suggest a password that is saved for a given website, or doesn't propose creating an alias on registration page where I need one. Missing biometric unlock.

On another note, the biometric unlock option is being gradually rolled out. It will be available on Firefox as well, but we're taking our time to deploy it progressively since the feature is tricky. Make sure to keep your browser and the Proton Pass extension up-to-date for any improvements. - A solid tool overall, but its usefulness is limited in my case. I have two accounts (personal and work) and there's no way to switch between them directly from the plugin. I have to open the desktop app to do it, which defeats the speed advantage of having a browser extension. Adding account switching to the plugin would make it much more practical for users with multiple accounts.

There are three annoying limitations at this time:
1. It is dependent on password and TOTP rather than supporting passkey authentication to log into the extension.
2. Its SimpleLogin alias notes don't sync to the alias description at SimpleLogin.
3. It won't offer to save credentials after you submit them, only before. So you might save credentials that are rejected. If you don't save them, the list of generated passwords isn't the easiest to discover.Replica dello sviluppatore

- Valutata 3 su 5di Utente Firefox 16492086, 4 mesi faFar from perfect. It is not very consistent, sometimes it fails to capture the username, sometimes the password in quite a few websites: about 1 in 10 websites has some kind of problem, my bank (piraeusbank.gr), my Camscanner login (v4.camscanner .com) and politico.eu login page, among others. In the case of politico.eu, the login would completely fail: I couldn't login at all unless I uninstalled the add-on. I have reported these pages, but nothing happened.
I installed Proton Pass because I wasn't happy with Firefox's default password manager either, but since it isn't perfect, I don't see what the advantage is over the (also not perfect) Firefox default password manager: all that changes is which websites don't work. I suspect my problems are Kubuntu Firefox-specific, but the result doesn't change. I'll return to Firefox default password manager for nowReplica dello sviluppatore

Why new 1.34.2 requires new permission: "Access browser activity during navigation" ?
Replica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 5 mesi faThis permission is related to credit card autofill, which we enabled in the latest Proton Pass release. To make this feature work reliably, we need to analyze iframes on web pages.
The only way to do this properly in a browser extension is through the webNavigation frames API. Specifically, we use webNavigation.getFrame and webNavigation.getAllFrames to resolve frame URLs and parse the sub-frame hierarchy during cross-frame autofill sequences. This is exactly what this permission is used for.
Previous versions didn’t require this permission because they didn’t support credit card autofill across iframes. - Valutata 3 su 5di Utente Firefox 19474608, 7 mesi faSometimes doesn't save password or comes up when logging in

only the top level domain is saved, not the whole URL, which disqualifies this add-on for webdesigners & co who need to distinguish between back-end, front-end, update panel, database etcReplica dello sviluppatore

- Valutata 3 su 5di Utente Firefox 19569017, 9 mesi faExcellent password/data manager. But when migrating from bitwarden, lastpass, etc, it misses a few key features here and there to be the best

Others have solved this - there's no excuse for it not to function on every site. It's not a difficult computer science problem - it just requires that Proton put in the work to make it function. I have no trouble with Bitwarden. Also, where is the damn generate button? I don't always want to generate a PW for Proton Pass. Sometimes I want a PW for something else. The code is in there - surface it to make it easier to get at. In general, I find Proton's security to be excellent but their UI/UX needs a hell of a lot of work. And yes, I pay full freight for DUO and Lumo+.

However it could do with some Credit Card autofill features and a better UX for "Cards" and "Notes". I save notes of importance to ProtonPass but to search for them is a bit painful, serving up logins first.
But all in all, keep developing it out, it's nearly perfectReplica dello sviluppatore

- Valutata 3 su 5di Protoplasmic Blob in Sector G, un anno faTakes some janking around to get it working on Linux. The plugin often has to be accessed from the top menu of the browser for it to activate and work. Lots of work-arounds required to make it function, but it does work.
