Privacy...
If you're going to anonymously do something you DON'T need a my email to set up an account.
You're either doing this as a public service or you're hiding something nefarious.
Just NO!
And there is it is - the first THREE a day are free after that, they're dipping in your pocket.
And this isn't a difficult thing to implement if the community built a database these annoying, non-standard dodges around the idiotic EU Cookie law. This is what happens when bureaucrats design a law without actually consulting with privacy experts (or any experts in regards of this example).
---- EDIT
"Hi, The extension is free for Firefox, it also doesn't require an email to set up. So this review simply makes no sense whatsoever."
That right... allow me to QUOTE the FAQ [URL REMOVED] highlight mine.
" We don’t store any personal data except for your *e-mail address* which we use only to verify your account and to synchronize your preferences across devices.
(So it does need an email...)
AND
"Super Agent is free for the first 3 pop ups a day. The “unlimited” version costs 1.19$€ a month or 11,99$€ a year. A 29.99$€ forever option will be available soon."
So someone is telling fibs, I'm simply quoting from the developer's OWN SITE.
AND
"We don’t store any personal data *except for your e-mail address* which we use only to verify your account and to synchronize your preferences across devices. "
AND
"... [I]nformation may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of Your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from Your jurisdiction. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by Your submission of such information represents Your agreement to that transfer."
AND SO ON... Sure, this is boilerplate but it covers the company's rear, not ours.
And you don't need a central server to do this. Fingerprinting is quite sufficient to ID these Javascript devices, a central server is just a way to make sure we're "customers".
Three a day. Give me a break.

- Valutata 1 su 5di Sosig, 3 giorni faIt's fine to ask for a donation, what is not fine is making it a subscription for no reason whatsoever. What is also not fine AT ALL is pissing me off by just opening a new tab whenever I search something up and showing me a page begging for said subscription, which is 1000x more annoying than any cookie popup. If I say no the first time I'm not gonna change my mind after you keep pissing me off.
Easy uninstall. - Valutata 5 su 5di NAumond, 25 giorni fa

- Bravo to the Dev Team, which I hope understands sarcasm and sees an opportunity to improve when it's in simple English.
I don't mind asking for a donation - I had an option on my projects too, and I still intend to keep. But the difference is, only if required for good, and for real I cannot run the project on my own.
Anyhow, the annoying and disruptive load of donation page with this as the value add to my life highlighted in it-

pubblicato il 4 mesi faHi! Are you sure super agent is set up correctly? Saving you 0 clicks would me super agent has not worked in a single page you have visited which sounds highly unlikely.

- Valutata 1 su 5di YaggaYaggaHey, 6 mesi faIt MIGHT work really well. I'll never know since they want you to pay and login. On top of which they only (allegedly) offer ''40 free goes''. Which they don't do: On my first use, it says I've used 36 of my 40 free goes.
DREADFUL since there are plenty of absolutely free and efficient ones. - Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 19133516, 6 mesi fa
- First I say, it's a good extension to have. I honestly didn't know how to write a review about it until yesterday.
I'm gonna be honest, I was a bit bummed out when I learned we had to pay for more pop-ups, but on the bright side, we get 40 free ones. it's enough for me. But on that note, I understand the cause for having to pay for a project because NO ONE should ever work for free. I am no developer, but server related costs can be a bit tolling sometimes and paying out of pocket is kinda... annoying, for a lack of better terms.
I'm considering buying the lifetime license for $30. It's not really that bad, supporting a few people with this kind of money, honestly. (I don't get why people got so salty since it goes the same for any other developer that creates an open source project. At one point, they'll probably have to ask you to pay or they could shut down completely.)
But I just wanna make a suggestion, [since I believe $30 isn't enough to fully support you guys] and create a webpage where I could donate more money (perhaps OpenCollective or even a PayPal) to keep this app running and maybe have extra features! I would say create a pop-up where your donation webpage is gonna be on? Thanks for making my browsing easier, SuperAgent!
Edit: They do have a donation link!Replica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 6 mesi faHey Ary. First of all thank you so much for your kind review.
I'm no developer either, so I really have no choice but to pay someone else to work on the extension!
We used to have a donation page setup back in the day, but we never had any traction there so had to just turn on monetization. The link still works though:
https://donate.super-agent.com/
I would also love to know what extra features you would like to see. We are currently working on improving our UX and coverage, but we could definitely add extra features if we saw there was a need for it.
Best regards
Francisco - Love this extension. Used the free version for a while and now paid for the lifetime subscription.
People leaving 1-star reviews: expecting software this good for free for life isn't realistic. When something is free usually the product is you and your data. I am happy to pay for this to support the developers who have to actively maintain not only the popup list but also the dom elements and popup delays since cookie popups are not standardized. pubblicato il 7 mesi faHi. 1$ seems pretty reasonable.
Edit: You are free not to want to pay, it is understandable. I just don't see how that justifies giving low reviews to every extension that is not free. Does that mean I should pay developers out of pocket? That people should work for free?
You can even downgrade the version to previous one and keep using it for free. We also let 40 free uses per week. I can understand it is frustrating to pay for something that was free but it was either this or eventually shut the extension off.- Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 18361144, 7 mesi fa
