The idea is great, but the actual functioning is poor because it breaks some behaviors in YouTube and I had to uninstall this extension because of it.
1. When doing a search, the results page sometimes gets stuck refreshing the results, basically the results are caught in a loop of refreshing over and over so you can't click on anything.
2. When scrolling videos, YouTube uses lazy loading, but with this extension enabled, the videos do not load and it's just blank, therefore video results beyond the page break fail to load.
3. There are glitches when loading your main subscription feed page, things like shorts showing up then disappearing, despite what option you have selected. In my usage, I have shorts disabled, however they continue to show up sometimes on page loads.
4. The actual loading time of pages on YouTube is noticeably slower, this is most likely due to this extension using additional resources and causing it to lag.
5. Not the extensions fault but a byproduct is this will make your YouTube mobile app experience worse because your subscriptions are now all together, so if you use this extension to subscribe and be able to organize them where you wouldn't otherwise subscribe, then your lists are useless on mobile.
6. I don't appreciate the advertising for your extension upgrades. Yes, we understand you'd like to make revenue but let users show/hide these options and once they make their choice do not advertise this again. IF users want to upgrade, they can do so later on their own terms.
Again, it's a good idea but hopefully YouTube will adopt collections natively (as they have done beta testing with select users) and this will then be able to be used on your account across all platforms and devices.
The main feature I use is the subscription categories and the ability to hide shorts, once YouTube adopts this it will be great. Hopefully this extension will inspire YouTube to release collections to all users and feed options such as hiding shorts.

3. It's expected behavior because it uploads all pages and next hides videos by filters. If you want to use it without disappearing(seamless experience), you should use feed mode https://youtu.be/r4iX53Qg2sE?t=233
4. It takes some time, but it's insignificant, and no one complains. Again I think it's related to conflict with something another extension.
5. It doesn't make it worse because PocketTube has Android and iOS, you can find it in the official store.
6. I want my users to know about every extension upgrade, what it's, and how to use it. I'm not going to make a useless update that no one use. It's part of the extension, and every update has free options. Also, you have a close button, so why not close it and just a little appreciate the work behind the extension? But it's really stupid to use my extension and don't see special videos for updates. Every update takes time to implement and produce tutorial videos.

- Valutata 1 su 5di NIghtClawZ, 20 giorni faWhen it works great, but for some reasons the addon keeps disconnecting from my Google Drive backup very often, sometimes more than one during a single day.
Edit 2026.07.07 : It seems when other addons (Stylus and uBlock Origin) triggers a synchronisation with Google Drive, the PocketTube addon lost its connection to it. It only happens with PocketTube, which at first I thought the issue came from the fact that I had two YT accounts (main + brand), but after deleting the second one no improvement at all.
Edit 2026.07.09 : I reset the Google access by revoking it and creating it anew, still no improvement. It worked before with my "pool" of addons and I cannot remove them just to keep this one. Plus sometimes right after enabling (for the Nth time) Google Drive, the data did not synchronised at all.
Edit 2026.07.17 : Uninstalling the addon and reinstalling it also doesn't work. I am done.Replica dello sviluppatore

I'm using another add-on in Firefox called "Unhook" (latest version 1.6.9) to mask, among othter things, the subscriptions from the left panel. But that somehow renders the Deck unaccessible: the button shows but, when clicked on, I always end up on the Youtube home page.
The Deck is almost all I use and masking the subscriptions would be a great improvement to reduce the distraction, so please save me!Replica dello sviluppatore

Try to reinstall Unhook and enable options one by one on Unhook side. - Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 13820476, 2 mesi faWhen video crossposting was first introduced, those videos would ignore filter settings in the Subscriptions tab and always appear in the list. But after the recent update(s), it became the opposite: crossposted videos will never appear in the Subscriptions tab, even if all the posters are subscribed and not filtered out by the current settings.

pubblicato il 2 mesi faThank you for reporting! We can filter collaboration videos based on the group filters, however, as I see the feature is not working properly in Firefox, I've prepared a fix in the upcoming version of Firefox 18.5.9 and will be available after review next week.

- This garbage hides videos if it's a collab between two channels... For the life of me couldn't figure it out why am I missing out on videos and only find them in recommendations. Also, it's slow, lot of upsells, UI is a mess and not intuitive at all, unless you found it at least once and overall a disgusting experience to use, but alas I couldn't find anything to replace it yet

pubblicato il 2 mesi faSorry to hear it, however, you enabled the filter by group option, so videos that don’t match the selected group will naturally be hidden. This is expected behavior and not an issue with the extension itself.
If our approach or UI does not fit your preferences, you are free to remove the extension. We’d also appreciate it if you could keep the review respectful and avoid terms like garbage.

It's on review on the Firefox store, and I hope it will be available during the week. The Firefox store review is so slow, and we don't have an option to speed it up.

Tonight it started only showing videos from a month ago and nothing else. Tried disabling all other addons, removing and reinstalling pockettube, clearing cookies and cache but nothing fixes it.

- Valutata 5 su 5di Skybreaker, 3 mesi faI don’t know if there is a limit to how many channels this extension can handle, but a few days ago, the filter at the top stopped working. The filter buttons are there, and my subscription groups still exist, but it always shows ALL of my subscribed channels regardless of which filters are toggled. This occurs even when all other extensions are disabled.
