It would be even better if we had an option to make the YouTube header show/hide on mouse hover. Instead of just 2 options hide or show atm.

Works perfectly again for me. Maybe it was just something on my end.

I'm a longtime user of the Chrome version and just moved to Firefox. YouTube's stock layouts for streams with chat are terrible enough to make this extension one of the essentials. I've never had problems with it, and the dev is quick with any necessary fixes (due to YouTube changing things).

In case it might save someone some trouble with initial setup, make sure you right-click the extension and enable Always Allow on www.youtube.com. I spent a good few minutes trying to figure out why it wasn't working before seeing that step mentioned elsewhere.

The best YouTube livestream chat extension there is. Very simple to use and has fantastic options to customize with.

Developer also updates as soon as YouTube does some tomfoolery which is greatly appreciated.

However a suggestion I may add is having the live chat be able to shift to the bottom of the video player when the browser window is cascaded to the side when there's two windows, similar to how FrankerFaceZ allows that option, because I tend to watch and do stuff on the side and also the YouTube stream does hard crash the browser tab when I cascade, requiring me to sometimes disable the extension in the video player.

The features introduced by this extension are so simple and obvious that I can't stomach using YouTube's default half-baked theater mode anymore.

The dev is also very quick to push updates when the Google engineers get bored and decide to start tinkering with YouTube's backend.

Good addon but theater mode randomly stops working every few weeks and have to remove and re-add it.

Works like a charm, easy to access, easy to modify almost every aspect of it, and regularly updated if youtube breaks something.
I hope I'm rich enough to donate, but leaving 5 star rating and some comments is best I can do.

The "Prevent the video from pausing when clicking on it while in livestreams theater mode" option doesn't seem to work anymore.

I have tried a lot of extensions and scripts like this, but this one is definitely the best one I tried so far. The only problem I have with this is that even non-live videos keep switching to theater mode for some reason which is annoying.Hopefully that gets fixed if possible.

There should be a setting to disable the overlay on the video because I end up moving mouse and clicking on the links on overlay as I am watching video. Very disruptive. Love the theater mode though.
