At first it didn't work for me because x.com DNS was blocked so it would be nice if the extension could somehow redirect to xcancel without having to actually load the website. Good news: in the latest version of the extension, it now intercept (and edit) the query *before* it is sent to x.com. So I guess it should work with your DNS.
