Youtube was pausing somewhere between 0:00 and 0:03 and I did the rather unpleasent detective work of selectively disabling firefox add-ons, one at a time, and I found the culprit. After disabling this add-on the problem dissapeared....but then the video stopped anyway because of the big NASTY "Before you continue" pop-up in the middle of the screen :|
