Other notifications can be disabled in the settings menu: click the Ghostery icon > click the three stacked dots > click "settings" > click "notifications" > adjust accordingly.     I know it's good because the internet is more bearable, and I have stopped noticing I have the extension, yet it doesn't feel like it's making decisions without my consent. An excellent piece of software. It's very seamless, and security wise I have no concerns. I would recommend.

Ghostery makes those sites usable again at zero cost, zero hassle, and zero issues. If you're looking for an adblocker that won't fight you or be fought by companies all the time, this is the place to be.
