It works like a charm in both Firefox desktop and Android. Sometimes pausing an animated image (*.gif or *.webp), it could pause in one of middle frames, although most of time it showed the first frame.

I have visual sensitivities and this extension has made my browsing a lot safer. Thank you!

Without this extension, viewing my favoured weather site (full of animated gifs) made my computer sound like an F35 taking off due to the cooling fan spooling up; with it enabled quiet calm is restored.

I have no idea what would I have done if not for this zero-maintenance addon. It makes Internet tolerable by stopping annoying animations, and it does so unobtrusively.

Works fine for me. Not too fussy about needing to reload the page after installing this extension. When running Firefox over a remote desktop, those GIF animations really bring the browser to its knees.

It works perfectly fine and stops gifs from playing on every page I've visited. I wish there were an option to completely block gifs because they still take more time to load on a page, but it really helps speed up page loading by not allowing the images to play.
