Developer fixed small bug with extension immediately, just a few hours after I reported it. As previously stated, extension is amazing and a life-saver. Thank you so much for making this!

Partially broken for The Atlantic (erroneously redirects theatlantic.com homepage through archive.ph when it should only do it for individual articles). Extension is amazing and a life-saver otherwise. Hopefully this is fixable.

It's greyed out on all the sites I tried, even though the add-on claims it covers said sites. Fiddling with the extension manager or re-opening Firefox did nothing to fix this.

Thanks lavinia -- I cannot replicate your issue, the Add-on is working for me. What do you mean by "greyed out"? The Add-on should work automatically. For example, visiting https://www.nytimes.com/2026/06/01/corrections/no-corrections-june-1-2026.html should redirect you to https://archive.ph/pmwmR with no action required.

Generally extensions are not restricted to specific sites but this one is. However, the developer readily discloses this and the 9 it supports are likely among the most desired. Perhaps a better name would be Surmount (Paywalls-limited).

This works great and I highly recommend it. my only minor complaint is that it would be great if I could disable it for a specific site. I pay NYT so I don't have to sidestep them. I took a peak inside the .xpi to see if it was as simple as deleting a few lines, but I don't really know my way around js and just ended up corrupting it lol
