Installed it and reset my canvas but nothing changed

If I keep more than a few canvas tabs open at the same time like when writing a paper, it'll peg my 8 core macbook pro at 100% CPU. Firefox task manager was saying it was causing high energy impact (over 2000%) while in 4 canvas tabs.
