I've been using S3.Translate for a very long time, and I'm generally very happy with it.

However, it seems that since Firefox version 153.0.1, released on July 28, 2026, the “Translate Page" feature no longer works on YouTube. Now, the “Translate Page” feature forces a new tab to open with no text (only the video is visible), and the URL of this new tab looks like this: [Sorry, I can't type an URL since AMO refuses]

I close that tab and try again, and every time it opens this new, non-functional tab (with no text to translate).

I’d like to clarify that the feature I’d like to restore is page translation as it has always worked: IN the active tab, not in a new, non-functional tab.

I thought about trying “Translate the page via the Google Translate website,” but I get the same result.

It seems that S3.Translate with Firefox 153.0.1 can no longer translate the current tab.

As far as I know, I haven’t changed anything in Firefox in the last few days — no new add-ons, no new settings. I just accepted the 153.0.1 update from July 28.

The problem occurs on YouTube as well as on Instagram.
It doesn’t occur on “regular” web pages like Wikipedia, The Independent, IMDb...

FAKE- Just puts a link to Google Translate in your list of extensions. There is NO translator.

Been using this for longer than I can remember and it's so helpful. But for the last year or so it's caused the romaji from google translate to no longer appear. weird

When i use Google Translate for Image it's doesn't translate. When i OFF S3Translator extension, Google Translate for Image worked fine. Please fix this!!!
Update 29.06.2025. I have been using this app for many years, but i see the author doesn't care about the app at all. Well, there are better apps than this one. Bye (до побачення) "S3.Translator" and welcome "TWP - Translate Web Pages"!!!

FYI, somehow, "Default behavior of flying window: Close when loses focus" doesn't work anymore! The window individually has the same set up.

The addon is well written and fully functional.
I like it very much!

I'd like to ask, is it somehow possible to use it as a standalone window?
It would be handy to use it outside of regular web browsing and for other desktop applications, like Saladict.

More than 7 days for review by Firefox moderators. Come on please update.

This is a 5 star extension - until the new update totally broke it and it is 'unable to connect to Google servers' (not allowed to give the error message because it contains a URL)
