Not keeping the site loaded makes all of these sidebar extensions not very useful. It would be really nice to move my chat and email pages (discord, messages, etc), to the sidebar so they can just be opened (ideally with a shortcut) when I get new messages

Estaba buscando a algo similar a como está la vista lateral de Microsoft Edge aquí en Firefox y me pareció genial, hasta que ejecuté YouTube Music con una interfaz terrible de vista de celular en escritorio, pausándose el contenido al cambiar de pestaña. También noté que WhatsApp no puedo usarla en esa vista por más que expanda la vista lateral.

Realmente me parece una excelente extensión de navegador pero estos errores hacen que tenga que estarla deshabilitando para evitar que surjan esos fallos

BUG:
For some reason it enforces music.youtube as mobile website even when the url stays the same & regardless of the setting to enforce desktop or mobile website. This also applies when side-view ist even opened. The website looks definitely different & when i pess CTRL+D my music pauses all the time which makes this Extention unusable :(

SUGGESTION:
- Show adress bar for both windows
- Shortcut Key to open/ close Side-View Sidepanel directly

Cool idea but needs a bit work to not be more of a hassle than a help. <3

I don't like the look of the extension and I can't find my tabs.

1. I cannot see the recent tabs section, so it's hard to find my current tab in the list of tabs. (I have many tabs)

2. The tabs are in arbitrary order. They are not in the same order as in my tab bar and they are not sorted by the time they were last used.

3. The extension has no dark mode.

4. The context menu icon doesn't adapt to the Firefox' dark mode. It's a black icon on a dark background.

This extension definitely breaks Google Meet.

Meet works in Private Browsing, so after disabling add-ons one-by-one, it was this and only this extension that affected Meet.

Shame, because I use Meet more than I used this useful extension, so this had to go :-(

Google meet links stuck on redirect loop even in regular tab with the extension enabled.

Also, would love to see the view to be resizable for 50:50 split.

Decent idea but it doesn't let you full go half and half, it only works as a small sidebar. This also caused an issue with YouTube Music where the music would pause as soon as the YT Music tab lost focus. Even if I wasn't actively using the Side View, my music would pause as soon as I moved to a different tab. So I couldn't have music playing in the background while I do other things.

It works but lacks features that make it worth using. The sidebar is too small for Youtube videos to be watched comfortably, and can only be resized to take up no more than 25% of the space. I don't know why I can't just have two tabs of equal size at the same time. Adblocker also doesn't work, so the tiny tab you have open is a cesspool of ads that make it almost unusable.

Works inside the sidebar, I can't use it with Tree Style Tab simultaneously.

Can't even resize to 50% of the width. Why is it so hard to have functional side-by-side tabs? Can't even enable it in MS-Edge because I can't open edge://flags and I cba trying to fix it

It's a great concept, but two things let it down:
- There is a max width that is enforced which is too limiting for most things.
- Seems like you are constrained to having the same side view loaded in every window. Would be useful to be able to set a side view url per firefox window

The idea is great, but 540px as max width of the sidebar makes this extension useless for me. What's the problem to remove this limit?

Could be waaay better. Please take a look at Vivaldi panels, thats a good use-case for side views

This is useless - I have such a large and wide screen, but the extension limits the side view to like 10% of it.

Still has many problems.

If you can make this as user friendly and functional as Vivaldi Browser's Side Panel feature, Firefox would be my daily driver. Vivaldi's Side Panel feature is something that I expect and use all the time. And is what keeps me coming back to Vivaldi from all other browsers.

Unfortunately firefox doesn't allow multiple side bars, so you can't use this alongside TreeStyleTabs to have two browser panes with one tab sidebar :(

Ausbaufähig. Die Ansicht einer Seite als Sidebar ist zwar nett, nur leider werden automatische Reloads/Aktualisierungen nicht übernommen, und ein F5 funktioniert auch nicht.
