I think the extension is let down both by its name, and by various articles that claim it offers similar functionality to chrome's tab grouping. It's also relatively unintuitive to use.

- Yettwasezmel 1 ɣef 5sɣur DougNYC, 2 år sidenWhy are so many permissions needed for this tab manager? There should be more optional permissions. Other tab managers work well without requiring (for example):
"(Access your data for all websites): for tab thumbnails and catch/move/reopen tabs in needed containers/groups" or
"downloads: for creating auto backups" - Yettwasezmel 5 ɣef 5sɣur Aseqdac Firefox 17541701, 2 år siden
- Yettwasezmel 5 ɣef 5sɣur Threshold, 2 år sidenHello and thank you for this addon, it's really helpful!
I do have one MAJOR ISSUE though: ordering groups according to my liking: drag and drop is a pain in the neck when you have 60+ groups!
Is there a simpler way to reorganise groups like with arrows for example or "cut and paste" or "move here"?
Having a "detailed view" (like in Windows explorer) in Manage Groups for example would make rearranging groups a lot easier.
Just the name of the groups without the full list of tabs inside each group: would that be possible please?
If an easier way is already available or if someone has found a workaround could you please let me know?
Another suggestion I have:
-In Manage Groups tabs inside a group could have check-boxes in order to select multiple ones to be moved to other groups
Cheers! - Yettwasezmel 5 ɣef 5sɣur Aseqdac Firefox 16894726, 2 år sidenHave only been using it for a few days, but so far I have found it to be an absolute pleasure to use. Lifts Firefox functionality to a whole new level.
Navigate quickly and easily from one group to another, move tabs from group to group easily, and at any time reload all tabs in a group with one simple click. Easy to customize, plus a manual/auto backup feature.
It's a 10 out of 10 from me. Allow 30 minutes to familiarize yourself with it, and set it up the way you prefer. Recommended. - Yettwasezmel 5 ɣef 5sɣur JallaJenkins, 2 år sidenThis addon really helped me. I'm able to have multiple complex projects on the go simply by toggling between different browser "desktops." Great work!
- Yettwasezmel 5 ɣef 5sɣur whitewolfcan, 2 år sidenUPDATE: right after writing this review, I discovered that I had Debug mode enabled (not sure when I did that). After disabling the debug mode, everything seems to be back to normal.
It works fine most of the time, until, randomly and out of the blue, the display of tab groups and tabs would show additional information in front of the tab group or tab names.
For example, if the current tab title is "Simple Tab Groups...", what I saw on the tab name in STG is "@1:#1495:i1487 (36:3.570)Simple Tab Groups..."
It looks like the info before the ")" is a kind of a tab number and the info inside the brackets are a time stamp (minutes:second). The actual tab/tab group name did not get modified, but these annoying, additional information is displayed.
This have happened multiple times already. The work around was to restore from previous backup, and it would work fine, until the next re-occurrence. - Yettwasezmel 5 ɣef 5sɣur Aseqdac Firefox 14588546, 2 år sidenGreat addon! I love it! But, since a few weeks I got always this message, when I open the browser:
Simple Tab Groups addon conflicts with the following enabled extensions:
Enabled:
Tab Session Manager
To avoid losing tabs or their location in windows and groups, it is strongly recommended to turn off or remove enabled extensions that conflict with the Simple Tab Groups addon. You can do this on the addons settings page "about:addons" or by pressing the key combination Ctrl+Shift+A

open about:config and set closeWindowWithLastTab to false

Why would you possibly need so many permissions, including "Access your data for all websites"? I'd like this to be fixed or at least given the chance to not accept it and loose some capabilities. - Yettwasezmel 5 ɣef 5sɣur Aseqdac Firefox 15814149, 2 år siden
- Yettwasezmel 1 ɣef 5sɣur kitkat, 2 år sidenhave create about 20 gorups and sorted my +400 tabs, createdd rules for auto-sort, selected icons, etc. And as I open it today, every single group is gone and all tabs are back under the same group.
